MemberBut, here’s the kicker… my Labrador tried it and strangely enough, wasn’t a big fan. He’s typically a chow hound, eats anything right off the plate without frowning but this food – he sniffed around and seemed rather uninterested.
Now don’t get me wrong, I can see why some might praise its high-quality ingredients and nutritional value – it definitely has more to offer than an average supermarket brand. However, for what they are charging ($60 per week approx), I’d expect my Lab to absolutely delight in it; which unfortunately wasn’t the case.
Also, someone mentioned that the food seemed too ‘densely packed’ or ‘dried out’? Here’s a nod from me: it was slightly dryish and overly processed. Not what I imagine when hearing ‘freshly cooked meal’.
Hope this helps anyone sitting on the fence! Just remember thogh every pooch is different and what didn’t work for mine might just be your good boy’s or girl’s absolute favorite! Happy feeding!

MemberBaxter (my Frenchie) is somewhat fussy, but he gobbled it right up! And what’s better, hasn’t had any tummy troubles since we switched – something we were battling for a while. Price is a bit steep though compared to other brands, but kind of expected given it’s celebrity-endorsed.
Keen to hear others thoughts before committing to buying the larger bag… anyone else here tried it?

MemberSo glad you asked! I also was curious and decided to give Katherine Heigl’s dog food brand a try for my little Rottweiler, Zeus. I have to note right off the bat that her brand does boast a great nutritional profile. The ingredient list is clean, simple, with real meat listed as the first item—which is generally a good sign.
Zeus transitioning from his old food was a breeze, and he seems to wolf it down quicker than before. I’ve also noticed his coat looking shinier and he just overall feels more energetic now.
That being said, it’s on the pricier side compared to generic brands. But if you can swing it, and you’re looking for an all-natural and ethically sourced diet for your furry friend—might be worth checking out. Each dog has their own unique dietary needs thogh, so a consultation with your vet isn’t a bad idea first.
Tails up!

MemberI’m sure Heigl loves her pups as much as we all do, but how about sticking to what we know best? I’d rather get my advice from an animal nutritionist or vet any day! Also worth mentioning, you don’t need to take out a second mortgage to keep your dog healthy and happy – simple balanced meals often work wonders!
So in summary, don’t let the Hollywood glam sway you and remember every dog is different, what works for one might not work for yours! Stay informed, keep it real, love your pups! It’s that simple. Just my two cents. Woof woof!

MemberThe ingredients seemed wholesome and picking up salmon flavor was a good start as Coop has always had a soft corner for fishies. The best part? The packaging mentions it’s grain-free, which is great because grains don’t realy sit well with my furry friend.
Once home, it passed the sniff test with flying colors but he seemed a bit hesitant with the first couple bites. Can’t blame him, new brand and all! But after a few meals, let me tell you he’s loving it. And from what I’ve noticed there has been an improvement in his coat condition as well.
Then again, each dog is different and what works for Cooper might not work for your pooch. Also, it might seem a bit on the pricier side compared to some other brands but considering quality ingredients and my pup’s positive reaction to it, I’d say it’s worth giving Heigl’s brand try.
Happy feeding! 🐾

MemberJust read the Katherine Heigl Dog Food review annd wow, it really resonates with me. If it’s as healthy as they say, I’m definitely open to transitioning my fur baby over to this brand.
The wholesome ingredients check out. How can you resist something not filled with unknown additives? That’s a big plus, right there! But it got me thinking… how well can my dog digest chickpeas and lentils? Anybody else had good or bad experiences with those ingredients?
Price point is another concern. Premium pet food, premium price. I mean, I’ll do anything for my pooch, but our budget has limits too!
Lastly, kudos to Heigl for donations made from each purchase. Helping other dogs in need is pretty darn cool.
In conclusion – it might be worth a try. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
Keep wagging!

MemberLet me just dive right in and say I appreciate Katherine Heigl’s passion for all things canine. Her dog food range certainly doesn’t disappoint on the health front. She seems to have infused a good balance of necessary nutrition in her recipes. My German Shepherd, Rufus, seems particularly fond of the chicken variant.
But I’ll have to be upfront and mention – the price point is not exactly wallet-friendly, especially if you’re managing a multi-dog household like mine! Besides, I find the kibble size larger than usual. If you’ve got tiny breeds or older dogs with dental issues, they might struggle with it.
Before switching over completely to any new dog food brand, always remember to see how your dog reacts to it first. What works well for Rufus may not necessarily sit well with your furries. When in doubt, consult with a vet!
Cheers,

MemberI couldn’t resist sharing my thoughts on Katherine Heigl’s dog food after trying it out for my old boy, Baxter. Let me tell ya, the quality is as top-notch as she claimed. The nutrient balance realy caught my attention – I mean who thinks of Omega-3 in dog food, right? It’s obvious there’s been real effort to get the formula right.
Baxter literally gobbles it up in no time. His coat has become shinier and energy levels are back to what they were like when he was a pup (though I suspect he’s also secretly enjoying the attention after slight weight loss…hehe). Remember though, every dog is different. What works wonders for Baxter might not do the same for others.
On the downside, it’s a bit pricier than what we were previously using. But, hey – good health justifies a few extra bucks!
Just thought I’d share our keen experience. Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for premium meal options for your pooch.

MemberOh boy, can we talk about how she broke down those ingredients? It’s so important to realize that not alldog food brands put the same love and care into their products. Katherine realy did an amazing job at highlighting just how critical it is to focus on organic meals and top-grade meat sources.
We decided to follow her advice and invested in some grain-free organic dog food for Lucy. I must tell you, the transformation has been nothing short of miraculous! Her energy levels are through the roof, her coat’s never looked better, and those pesky allergies seem to have taken a back seat. So a big thumbs up from us 👍👍
Remember guys, our fluffy companions deserve nothing but the best. Look out for those labels and stay informed — your doggo will thank you!

MemberFirst off, kudos to Katherine for her efforts in animal care and wellbeing. Her passion is admirable, but unfortunately, it didn’t translate well into the dog food. For starters, it’s quite expensive compared with some other top-quality brands out there. Jasper, bless his heart, would eat socks if I gave him the chance but even he wasn’t super thrilled about this stuff.
Also, had a close look at the ingredients list and while all the buzzwords like “natural” and “grain free” were definitely present, high-quality proteins weren’t as prominent as I’d have liked. For the price they’re charging, I expected a bit more.
In a nutshell — great initiative from Katherine Heigl to invest time and money in our furry friends — but I don’t think this dog food quite hits the mark for us pawrents obsessed with our fur babies’ diet. We’ll stick to our regular brand until then. Anyone else had similar experience?

MemberJust read your post about Katherine Heigl’s dog food and I’ve got to say, that’s some quality stuff! My border collie absolutely loves it. There’s a noticeable difference in his coat now, so shiny and I’m definitely attributing it to the premium ingredients that they use.
But remember, every dog is different and might not react the same way. Monitor your pup closely after introducing any new food. Keep tabs on their eating habits, stool consistency, energy levels etc., just to be on the safer side. And if there are any concerns, it’s always good to consult with your vet.
Is this your first time switching to a celebrity-branded food? It was for me when I tried this one – didn’t regret it though. Your thoughts?

MemberMy oldest, a lab mix named Max, has always had a sensitive tummy. We’ve gone through probably a million different types of food trying to find the one that won’t upset his stomach. After seeing Heigl’s review, I decided to give it a shot and boy, am I glad I did!
I’ve also noticed my dogs’ coats becoming glossier after a month or so on this diet. Not to mention, they seem more energetic during our daily walks – even old Max!
The only downfall would be the price, it’s definitely not cheap. But hey, for quality ingredients and happy dogs how can ya say no? Definitely worth considering if you take your pet nutrition seriously like I do! Keep the tail wags coming 🐾

MemberIt was a little on the pricier side, but with ingredients like real lamb or salmon as the primary part (No disgusting filler stuff!), I thought it worth committing to for a couple of months trial run. Honestly, the change in Max’s energy level and coat shine was noticeable🐶✨
It even comes with recyclable packaging – you’d love it if you’re an eco-conscious dog parent like me😉 Plus, KH donates a percentage of sales to her animal rescue foundation – good food and helping pups in need? Sign me up!
Only downside I’ve noticed is the availability issue. It’s not stocked at every pet store…yet (fingers crossed they get there soon). Until then, online order is our go-to plan! 📦💻
Anyways, if you’re thinking of switching dog foods or just want to pamper your furbaby with a little gourmet treat (because they totally deserve it), it might be worth giving KH’s range a shot! Just make sure to introduce any dietary changes slowly and monitor their reaction carefully!
Happy feeding! 🍖🐾

MemberRexy is normally picky (I mean, the diva turns her nose up at most branded foods), but boy, did she chow down on this stuff! Plus, I’ve noticed her coat’s shinier than ever since we switched. Could be coincidence but I like to believe it’s this new diet.
The one downside? The price tag is somewhat steep compared to our old kibble. But hey, you get what you pay for, right? And if it keeps Rexy happy and looking snazzy and healthy, I’m all in for an occasional splurge. All in all, I’d highly recommend giving it a try if you’re up for the investment. Your four-legged buddies might just gather ’round and woof their thanks! 😉🐾

MemberBut I’m of the opinion that good nutrition is key to keeping our furry friends healthy and happy, so don’t mind forking over an extra few bucks, especially if it’s something Lola approves of (which doesn’t happen often haha!)
Are you thinking of switching brands, or just testing out new options? Always curious to hear what other dog owners are trying out for their pampered pups!
