I’ve been feeding my sweet golden retriever mix Natural Balance for about a year now. She used to have pretty bad skin allergies with the previous food I was giving her, constantly scratching annd losing hair. But ever since switching her to Natural Balance’s Limited Ingredient Diet, I’ve seen such a huge improvement! Her coat is shiny and full again and she’s much more energetic.

I appreciate the simple ingredients – it feels good knowing exactly what I’m putting into her body. The price is higher than some other brands on the shelf, but for me, the difference it’s made in my dog’s health makes it worth every penny. Plus, she seems to love the taste so that’s always a bonus.

Surely, what works for my pup may not work for all because each dog is unique. If you’re considering switching over though, I’d definitely give it two paws up!

So I’ve been using Natural Balance for my golden retriever, Max, since he was a pup. He used to chow down on this stuff like there’s no tomorrow – especially the sweet potato & fish formula! Lately though, I noticed a shift in his behavior around meal times. He’s become a bit more hesitant with this brand and his stools aren’t as healthy-looking as before.

I did a little digging and apparently the company changed hands not too long ago? Anyone else notice if their quality may have gone downhill? I tried reaching out to them directly but the customer service is as forthcoming as a dodgy politician in a scandal. It’s all generic replies and empty apologies, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, right?

I’m contemplating swapping brands, ‘cos at the end of the day it’s all about Max’s well-being. But before I do, I wanted to gather some thoughts. Anyone else having similar experiences with Natural Balance or is Max juts being extra picky these days?

    Peace. 💛

But make sure you gradually introduce new food to your dog’s diet. A sudden switch can cause some tummy trouble. Been there, done that! Also, always keep an eye on how your dog reacts to the food, because every doggo is different. Good luck! 🐾

One thing I noticed though, he seems to have more energy throughout the day. Could be the high protein content in their food or maybe it’s just all the quality ingredients they pack in there. We tried the Sweet Potato & Fish Formula first – a big hit! Now we’re on the Bison & Sweet Potato one, another clear favorite.

Price-wise, I won’t deny it’s on the steeper side compared to some other brands, but honestly seeing Max thrive like this? Worth every single penny. The only downside with switching his diet was a little bit of a grumpy gut at the beginning but increasing it slowly seemed to do the trick. And as always, make sure to check with your vet before making any major dietary changes for your pooch. Happy feeding! 🐾

Now, for your highfalutin’ Fidos with delicate digestion (yeah, I’m lookin’ at you Poodles with attitude), Natural Balance seems like it could practically double as Michelin star cuisine. Had my buddy’s Shih Tzu positively dancing for more – and trust me, that little fella’s pickier than my ex at a salad bar!

It ain’t rocket science folks – Natural Balance sits pretty well on the high-quality food spectrum. Sure, you’ll have your dissenters moaning about price or pea protein… but hey it’s 2022 people! Pea proteins are in! Even we humans are guzzling down smoothies packed with ’em!

So if you wanna treat your fur-baby & not burn a bigger hole in Mother Earth while doing so, then hey why not give NB a whirl? But don’t take MY word for it – I’m just a random dog lover spewing love for nutritious kibble on an internet forum!

Anyway, I thought, “Hey, why not give Nature Balance a whirl?” After all, the bag is fancy enough – it even has a picture of a wolf on it! Nothing screams ‘wild and natural’ like a photoshopped wolf!

Setting sarcasm aside, the food isn’t half bad. Sir Barkalot seems to like it, or at least he hasn’t staged any hunger strikes yet. And apparently it’s full of good things like brown rice and sweet potato…you know, all the stuff ol’ Barky would be munching on in the wild…

But hey, don’t just take my word for it. Go give it a try! Worst case scenario: You’re out twenty bucks and your dog continues to live the high life on steak scraps and cheddar chunks. Best case: Your picky pup switches to a slightly healthier kibble diet. Trust me, stranger things have happened!

So there you go – my two cents on Natural Balance. It will neither change your life nor likely have you hanging its poster on your wall. But hey, it does get eaten before getting stale, so by my standards – we’re winning here.

One downside is that it’s a bit more on the pricey side compared to other brands out there. But in my book, the health benefits totally justify the cost. Also, quick heads up – try buying it online from Chewy or Amazon…they usually have pretty good discounts running!

So if your pooch has sensitivity issues like Rusty, I’d definitely recommend giving this brand a try!

The limited ingredient part really seems to do the trick for him. More than anything else, we’ve noticed improved digestion and lesser scratching – a godsend for a pup that was going through itchy skin issues. The thing we like is that it comes in a few different flavors Like Sweet Potato & Fish or Duck & Pea so we can switch things up a bit for him.

However, I gotta say, it is slightly pricier compared to other brands but for us, having our pup healthier and happier makes it worth every penny. I highly recommend giving it a try if you’re dealing with similar allergy issues!

Btw, quick tip – sometimes Amazon runs good deals on Natural Balance dog food. Worth keeping an eye out 👍

Tell me what you decide to go for!

What won me over even more is their testing process. Did you guys know they test every batch for 9 contaminants before shipping it out? Talk about quality control!

But as always, each dog is different and what works well for Max might not work for another fur baby. Maybe just buy smaller packs at first to let your pup taste it before jumping into a big bag purchase. Well, that’s my two cents! Would love to hear what other pup-parents have to say about Natural Balance!

Just thought I’d chime in about Natural Balance. I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Max, the Natural Balance L.I.D Limited Ingredient Diet for about 6 months now annd I gotta say, I’m really happy with how it’s going. He’s got a pretty sensitive stomach but this product seems to sit well with him – no more upset tums.

His coat’s looking really shiny too, which is always a plus! The quality of ingredients seems solid – they cut out all the unnecessary fillers that some other brands tend to use. It’s slightly pricier than what we used to get for Max, but you get what you pay for right?

I like that there are different formula options you can pick from depending on your dog’s dietary needs. We rotate between sweet potato & fish and bison & sweet potato. Max loves them both!

Remember folks, every dog is different so what works for one fur kiddo might not work for another. But overall, paws up from us for Natural Balance! 🐾

I’ve been feeding my 3-year-old Lab, Max, Natural Balance for over a year now and I gotta say, it’s been great. The ingredients are high-quality and grain-free which has significantly improved his digestion. He absolutely loves the Duck and Potato flavor, though we’re considering trying out the Sweet Potato and Fish blend for a change.

However, I was a little startled by the price point when we first switched over from his old chow – it’s definitely on the pricier side but seeing the positive changes in Max settled any reservations fairly quick. Moreover, there have been no recalls so far – a big relief!

In short, while it might require loosening your purse strings a bit more than usual, I’d say that Natural Balance offers good value for money given the quality of ingredients they put into their dog food. After all, aren’t our fur buddies worth all that love…and a little more? 😉🐾

    Keep those tails wagging! 🐕

I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Cooper, Natural Balance for like, a year now. First things first, Coop literally goes bananas over the taste – he’s partial to the Sweet Potato & Fish formula. As an owner, I was mega drawn to the quality ingredients they brag about on their packaging. Plus, it’s grain-free which is a bonus as we were tackling some allergy problems with Coop.

But here comes the part where my love for Natural Balance takes a bit of a hit. It hasn’t exactly been light on my wallet. Not going to lie – it’s pricey compared to a bunch of other brands. And though I don’t mind spending extra for Cooper’s health, when there are alternatives offering similar nutritional value with a lower price tag, you can’t help but put your thinking cap on.

That being said, every dog is different and what works for one might not for another. It’s all about trial and error before finding that perfect blend of nutrition and affordability!

Hope this gives ya some helpful insights!

So glad you brought up Natural Balance. I have a couple of dogs at home, a retriever and an adorable terrier, both on Natural Balance for about 2 years now with no complaints!

Full transparency – one of my buddies is a vet, he suggested to switch it up once we got the second pup who had some digestive issues. And boy, let me tell you… what a world of difference it’s made! Their coats are shinier than ever and energy levels through the roof.

Love that they cater to good dietary variety too. My retriever, Max, adores the sweet potato and fish formula (yeah… sounds weird but he digs in like it’s the last meal on earth 😂). The little one—Biscuit—is all about their grain-free chicken & sweet potato recipe. For me, quality ingredients check out, nutritionally balanced, doggos love it… win-win situation!

Make sure you try different flavours though! What works for my pups might not do the trick for yours. Just keep an eye on their weight as better food translates to needing less in quantity.

Good luck finding your pupper’s favorite! Cheers 🐾

However, I’ve had a couple of issues with it as well. Max took a while to get used to the new food. He had some soft stools during the adjustment period which wasn’t great but eventually got sorted out. Also, I think their consistency can sometimes be off. In some bags, you can notice a slightly different smell or color.

Also just to put it out there – this brand isn’t cheap by any means but you know how it is—we do anything for our pups! Don’t just take my word for it though, every dog reacts differently to different diets so your experience could be totally different. Heads up—do look into any recalls before making a decision. You want what’s best for your fur buddy after all! Good luck!

Now here’s the cherry on top: Bella has a sensitive tummy and we struggled A LOT in the past with other food brands. But she hasn’t had any gastrointestinal issues since we switched to Natural Balance. Score!

Isn’t it just the best feeling when your pooch not only enjoys her meal but also truly benefits from it healthwise? 💕 Anyways, thought I’d share this little success story we have with Natural Balance – maybe this can help someone else out there with a picky eater or a pupper with a sensitive belly. Happy feeding everyone! 🐶
