MemberThe ingredients look top-notch, real meat is always the first thing listed which is a huge plus point; no unknown “meat meal” stuff. Love the variety too – they’ve got everything from fish to bison! My retriever’s coat started looking more lustrous after we made the switch, so that’s another tick in the box.
But like all things good, it does tend to get pricey over time, especially if you’ve got bigger dogs like mine. And not all dogs may like it right away, I had couple of buddies whose dogs didn’t initially warm up to the new food. So, test it out with a smaller pack if possible.
In a nutshell, worth trying at least once for sure. For those who can handle the price tag, Solid Gold definitely stands up there with other premium brands!
Anyway look at me rambling on about dog food…hope this helps! Woof woof 🐾🐾

MemberJust remember though, every dog reacts differently to different types of food so what works for Sammy might not work for your pup. It was literally a trial and error situation in my case. But definitely worth giving it a shot if you’re thinking about it! Keep us posted 👍🐾

MemberJust keep in mind that every dog is unique with unique nutritional needs. What works for Louie might not be perfect for your furbaby. mabye try out a small bag first and see how they respond instead of stocking up right away? Cheers!

MemberBut like all things, it wasn’t a smooth journey at the start – Buddy had to adjust to the new food, so we did see some loose stools at first. That worried me for a bit but with gradual transition mixed in with his old food, everything went back to normal in a week or so.
My advice – go easy on your pup while introducing any new food into their diet; an abrupt change could really mess with their system. But now Buddy can’t have enough of Solid Gold!

MemberLucky me, I’ve got two lovely mutts who think my pockets run endless because they’ve got a taste for the finest. Honestly, sometimes I think they believe they’re canine celebrities or something. Anyway, I decided to take the plunge and fork out a few extra pennies on their chow. Spoiled bunch!
Look, on paper Solid Gold seems legit. All those fancy ingredients – no meal, grains or dodgy additives. It’s enough to make an average kibble look like fast food garbage. But here’s the thing – my dogs don’t read ingredient lists. Nope, they dip their noses into the bowl and decide there and then whether it’s a feast fit for a king or straight off to the dog bin.
Day 1 – Excitement all round. The bag just got delivered and my pups are prancing around giving it some sniffs; anticipation in the air is palpable! They wolfed it down in seconds, like there was no tomorrow.
Day 2 – Still chowing down but with slightly less enthusiasm.
By day 5 – Ah, big surprise! The novelty has worn off and half the bowl is left untouched.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not bad-mouthing Solid Gold offhand. It’s good stuff and might do wonders for some pampered pooches out there but mine? Nah mate, they’d rather stick with their old faithful brand. Look at them calling that daddy waste of money bluff!
After all this hoo-ha, I wasn’t sure whether to feel relieved or conned. At least my wallet gave a sigh of relief! So yeah, even though it didn’t make converts out of my mutts like promised deliverance from Doggie Delight, I still stand by my original sentiment – Solid Gold is worth a shot. It’s the puppies’ choice that ultimately matters – those picky little rascals!

MemberOne thing though, it’s not exactly budget-friendly. But of course on the flip side – you’re paying for quality ingredients. Also gotta be honest, their flavor variety could be broader. But all in, if you’re thinking about splurging a bit for improved doggo health, Solid Gold is worth considering! Nope, they didn’t pay me to say that haha… If only! 😜

MemberI’ve been feeding my Golden Retriever, Cody, Solid Gold dry dog food for a few months now and he seems to be crazy about it. Coat’s looking better than ever – shiny and full of life. Plus, his energy level has definitely gone up, we even added an extra walk every day!
The high-protein recipe and the healthy whole grains caught my eye at first. I know what’s going in my dog’s food and it’s all good stuff – no artificial nonsense which is a big win in my book. That said, it’s on the pricier side but I reckon it’s worth it for the quality you’re getting.
Only thing is that solid gold might not sit well with all dogs – Cody’s buddy Jasper had a bit of an upset tummy when switching over. So maybe start slow if you’re considering the switch to Solid Gold. Keep in mind every doggo is different so what works wonders for Cody might not be the best for others.
All in all, we’re sticking with Solid Gold for now! Happy tails everyone! 🐾

MemberOne thing I have noticed thogh, the grain-free option gave him a bit of an upset stomach initially. So, we switched back to the regular one with grains, thanks to their diverse product range.
It’s not the cheapest out there but personally seeing the positive impact on Max’s health makes it worth every penny. Can’t really put a price tag on our fur babies’ wellbeing, right? Anyway, just sharing my two cents! Would love to hear other experiences too! Cheers! 🐾

MemberIt’s pricier than the previous brand I was buying, but the quality is super noticeable. The ingredient list isn’t a mile long and full of things I can’t pronounce (bonus points for that!). Plus it’s grain-free which is a nice option to have.
My vet told me that every pup is different – what works wonders for one might not for another – so grain-free may or may not be your dog’s cup of tea. But I can vouch for the quality of Solid Gold and Bella definitely seems happier (and healthier) for it.
I’d say if you can afford the slightly steeper price tag it’s totally worth giving it a shot! After all, our furry friends deserve the best, don’t they? 😁🐶👍

MemberI’ve been using Solid Gold dog food for a couple of months now, so I thought I’d weigh in with my two cents. First off, my Golden Retriever, Bella, absolutely loves it! She was having some digestive issues with her previous food but ever since we switched to Solid Gold, no more problems.
In terms of nutrition, I’m impressed that they use real meat as the first ingredient and it’s grain-free as well. Really helps keep Bella’s weight in check. The inclusion of superfoods like blueberries and almond oil is a real selling point for me too.
The only downside would be the price point – it’s a bit on the steep side compared to other brands. But ultimately, I believe health is wealth and if it means shelling out a few extra bucks for Bella’s well-being then yes, count me in!
Hope this helps you out if you’re considering swapping over to Solid Gold. Do keep us posted on what you decide. Good luck!
