One of the main reasons I switched was because of how straightforward their ingredient list is. It’s refreshing not to run into a bunch of hard-to-pronounce stuff that makes you wonder about what you’re actually feeding your pup. Plus, it’s grain-free which works great because Benny has a bit of a sensitive stomach.

Price-wise, it pretty much falls right in the middle compared to other brands… not too cheap that you question the quality, but certainly won’t break the bank either.

In terms of variety though, I wouldn’t say they have an extensive range. We usually alternate between their chicken and pea recipe, and the salmon one. Benny doesn’t seem to mind at all though!

All in all, we’re quite happy with Wholesomes so far. It might be worth getting a smaller bag first to see if your furball likes it as well! Every dog is different after all. Hope this helps!

However, do note that every dog is different – what works great for Max may not necessarily be your pup’s cup of tea. So, my advice – maybe get a small bag to start with, see how your furball takes to it.

Also remember to gradually introduce any new food into your dog’s diet rather than switching all at once. It might cause an upset tummy if you just shock their system with a sudden change.

Hope this helps! Don’t forget, tail wags and happy faces are what we are aiming for here. Happy feeding!

I recently made the switch to Wholesomes dog food for my two Border Collies and I’m so glad I did! They’ve really taken a liking to it and I can see a noticeable difference in their energy levels throughout the day.

Before, with the old brand, they would get sluggish by mid-afternoon but now they’re up and at it almost all day. Their coat’s also looking richer and shinier – a surefire sign that they’re eating well.

As far as ingredients go, I love that Wholesomes keeps it straightforward without any questionable additives or by-products. Plus, their recipe variety has something for every canine palate. My older guy loves the Chicken Meal & Rice while the young’un practically inhales the Lamb & Rice.

The proof is definitely in the pudding – or in this case, kibble – because check-ups at the vet have never gone smoother. She mentioned their overall health seems better since introducing Wholesomes into their diet.

Of course every pup is different and what works for mine may not work for yours but, based on our experience so far, I’d say it’s worth giving Wholesomes a shot if you’re considering changing your furry friend’s diet.

Happy pet-parenting everyone! Remember to sneak in those extra belly rubs whenever you can. 😊🐶

Just wanted to weigh in about the Wholesomes dog food. I’ve been using it for my Lab, Max, for almost a year now and not gonna lie, I’m quite pleased with the results. His coat’s shinier than ever, and his energy levels have definitely picked up.

Yes, it runs a bit pricier than your grocery store brands but you realy see the difference in quality. It’s grain-free too which was great for us since poor Max has a bit of a sensitive stomach. The first time we switched him over, he had some mild digestive issues, but they cleared up after a week or so. Our vet double-checked and confirmed it’s totally normal as dogs sometimes need time to adjust to new food.

Word of advice – try small packets first to see how your fur baby responds before going for the larger bags. Remember every dog is unique so what works for Max might not work for your pup. Just keep that in mind and do what’s best for your four-legged friend!

Wishing you and your pooch all the best,

Before I swapped to Wholesomes, Max was kinda picky with his food. But since we switched, no more standoffish behavior at mealtime. His coat is also shinier and softer than ever which honestly surprised me because he had fairly good coat condition before.

One thing that I need to mention though – changing your pooch’s diet isn’t always smooth sailing. Max experienced some loose stools in the first week or so but he adjusted pretty quickly after that.

All in all, I’d definitely recommend Wholesomes. Check out the ingredient list – they use real meat as the primary source of proteins without any artificial stuff. Plus, the price point isn’t that bad either. Just remember each dog is different so it might work differently for your pup.

Let us know how it goes if you decide to switch! Cheers to happy and healthy pups!

I’ve actually been feeding my golden retriever Wholesomes dog food for a couple of months now. Before that, he was suffering from some digestion problems – poor lad was really struggling with other brands. But since switching to Wholesomes, I tell you what, it’s like night and day. His coat is super shiny now and no more tummy troubles. The ingredients list looks great too – real meat as the first ingredient and no artificial mumbo jumbo; just simple, clean nutrition.

It’s true it’s a bit on the pricier side, but honestly, seeing my boy so healthy is worth every penny. Just goes to show you get what you pay for in the dog food aisle!

If your pup has a sensitive stomach or any skin issues, I’d recommend giving Wholesomes a try. They’ve got different formulas depending on your dog’s needs, so there’s likely something that would suit your fur-baby.

Of course, every dog is different and what works for mine may not work for yours. Always worth it thogh to do your research and give things a go if you think it might help improve your pup’s quality of life.

    Hope this helps!

Hey there, fellow dog guardians! Just wanted to drop some two cents on the Wholesomes dog food. I’ve got a couple of fur babies at home – a high-energy Border Collie and a lovely chill Basset. They’re both pretty picky eaters, so finding food they enjoy AND is nutritious has been quite the journey.

I swapped over to Wholesomes about six months ago and I gotta say, I’m liking what I see. First off, the ingredient list isn’t just full of fillers or strange things – it’s real meat first which is huge in my book.
Even better, both my fur babies are gobbling it up; clean bowls every time. There’s something for every doggie taste (my Collie loves their wild fish formula!).

But the biggest change has been in their overall health. The collie’s coat is shinier and the basset’s energy levels seem to have perked up (which for a basset, is kind of miraculous lol!). Seeing them happier makes me believe in this product even more.

Of course, every doggo is unique with their dietary needs so always consult with your vet before changing diets. But for my pups and me, Wholesomes is serving us pretty well. Good luck on your own pupper feeding adventures! 👍

First off – yes, it’s a bit more expensive than some of those big-name brands out there. But honestly, in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. The ingredient list alone made me do a double take – real chicken or beef as the first ingredient (depends on the flavor you go for), brown rice, hearty veggies…it reads like a healthy dinner recipe!

Since switching to Wholesomes, Buddy’s coat is shinier and his energy levels are through the roof. Even his vet has noticed an improvement in his overall health. Also worth mentioning is that Buddy absolutely loves the taste; always gobbles up his meals in no time!

The only downside was that it took a little while for Buddy’s stomach to adjust to the change from his previous food – he dealt with some minor upset for the first couple days. But once he got used to it, no issues whatsoever.

In case anyone’s on the fence about trying out Wholesomes – I’d say give it a shot! A healthier diet can really make a difference in your pupper’s life. Good luck!

Just wanted to chime in on this. My golden retriever, Rocky, has been eating Wholesomes dog food for a while now. I really can’t say enough good things about it! He seems to delight in every meal and the ingredients list is pretty impressive.

I appreciate how they put an emphasis on all-natural ingredients without any fillers or artificial stuff. Rocky’s coat has never looked healthier and he has so much more energy these days. A big thumbs up from us both.

The only downside I’ve found is that it’s a bit pricier than some other brands, but you know what they say: “you get what you pay for”. In my opinion, it’s totally worth the extra cost seeing how much Rocky loves it and how good it has been for his health.

Hope this helps! Anyone else had similar experiences?

    Hey there!

I’ve been using Wholesomes for quite a while for my two lab retrievers and I’m pretty happy with it overall. You can tell they put some thought into the ingredients – mine seem to love the chicken and rice flavor in particular.

Having said that, I noticed a bit less enthusiasm when I switched them over to the grain-free variety – not sure if they’re just being picky or if the flavor was off. So, back to the original one we went!

As with anything though, every dog is different. Best advice? Give it a shot and see how your furry friend takes to it. Only downside could be a little on the pricy side but hey, you get what you pay for right? All in all, worth trying.

    Cheers!

Just saw your post about wholesome dog food and I totally get investing in good food for our furry buddies. I’ve got two large breeds, a German Shepard named Max and a Labrador Retriever, Buddy.

For us, we switched to wholesome dog food about a year ago after my vet originally recommended it. I was surprised at the immediate change in Max and Buddy’s fur quality – it has been so much shinier and healthy-looking!

The only downside? Well, some of the recipes can be a bit pricey. But honestly, given how much more energetic both dogs seem to be–even our older guy, Max–it feels really worth it to give them high-quality grub.

One suggestion — if you’re not sure about committing yet, maybe ask the manufacturer or your local pet store if they have samples available. This way, you can see how your dog reacts to the switch before making any big changes.

    Hope this helps!
