MemberCan’t say my fur-baby was all that thrilled by the taste – unless “thrilled” now means turning their nose up and walking away. But hey, maybe my dog’s just too gourmet for them.
Now as for those dental benefits Greenies supposedly provide? Meh… Brushing Fido’s teeth was less work (even though it’s about as fun as tap dancing barefoot on hot coals). You’ll probably need to stick to regular dental chews or good ol’ fashioned tooth brushing if you care about your pup’s pearly whites.
Cost-wise, they tally up too. Last time I checked we weren’t growing money trees in the backyard (if you are, hit me up!).
In a nutshell, there’d be more chance of my dog learning how to juggle than willingly eating Greenies again! Hope you have better luck or a richer palette on your pooch!
03/11/2025 at 10:38 PM in reply to: Just Completed My First Bag: A Genuine WAG Dog Food Review #3071cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberFirst things first, how about we appreciate the sheer variety they’ve got on offer? Chicken and lentil? Salmon and sweet potato? When did my pooch’s din-dins become fancier than my own?!
The one thing I’ve found commendable is their emphasis on protein sources. They’re showing some genuine effort there to pack in real meat rather than mysterious “meat meal.” Fancy sounding pea proteins – all discarded. My bulldog Hudson huffs up his snout at unnecessary fillers anyway!
But here’s the kicker… This stuff ain’t cheap folks! Last I checked, we aren’t shopping for caviar here. You’d think with prices like those, Hudson would sprout wings or turn into a unicorn.
Overall, could be it be healthier than some dollar-store kibble with an ingredient list as long as my weekend honey-do list? Probably. Is it worth skipping a mortgage payment for? That’s debatable.
That said, every dog is different. What may have my Hudson pursing his lips might have your Bella licking the bowl clean – so to each their own! If you’ve got loose change lying around and a seriously fickle furball – hell, why not give WAG a whirl? Just remember though folks, eating fancy didn’t make us humans any healthier… just saying!
03/09/2025 at 7:49 AM in reply to: “Optimum Canine Health: My Health Extension Dog Food Review” #3215cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberFirst off, my pooch Sparky literally drools over this stuff. Tells ya something, right? Then there’s the ingredients list. Real meat as the first ingredient, followed by a wholesome mix of fruits and veggies. Not quite a doggie version of fine dining but hey, close enough!
Sure it’s pricier than that sad old supermarket slop you’d normally get (no judgement!) but honestly, what price can you put on pup health? Now don’t go thinking I bought a lottery ticket and quit my day job… But I realized investing in good food now might save me some hefty vet bills down the line.
Allergy issues? Well Sparky’s itching less since we switched to Health Extension – apparently those omega-rich ingredients double as skin therapy too!
Now granted this isn’t Michelin star chow – I mean it doesn’t smell like roses and probably won’t change your life. But Sparky approves! From what I hear, that pretty much makes it doggie dining gold. Try it out for your fur-baby and see if they give two paws up! Happy feeding!

MemberWe honestly didn’t notice much of a difference when we switched to BIXBI food – apart from poorer wallets. Chunk would probably be just as happy with a cardboard box or your left shoe (much cheaper alternatives).
So yeah, is BIXBI suddenly going to make your dog run laps around your neighborhood while balancing a frisbee on its nose? Probably not. But hey, if you don’t mind smashing your piggy bank for every meal time…be my guest!
03/05/2025 at 5:41 PM in reply to: Just Saw the Katherine Heigl Dog Food Review – What’s Your Take? #2863cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberI’m sure Heigl loves her pups as much as we all do, but how about sticking to what we know best? I’d rather get my advice from an animal nutritionist or vet any day! Also worth mentioning, you don’t need to take out a second mortgage to keep your dog healthy and happy – simple balanced meals often work wonders!
So in summary, don’t let the Hollywood glam sway you and remember every dog is different, what works for one might not work for yours! Stay informed, keep it real, love your pups! It’s that simple. Just my two cents. Woof woof!
cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberLet’s break it down. Yes, pooch was more than happy to munch on it – but FYI, she also tried eating a sock last Tuesday. Meat as the first ingredient? Check. No cheap fillers or synthetic colors? Apparently so. But my furball’s gas situation could give a hot air balloon a run for its money. Seriously, what in the name of Scooby-Doo did they put in that kibble?
And for all that money we’re shelling out – it better make her ballet dance or something! On the health side of things, her coat’s shiny and energy levels seem good but nothing off the charts to warrant that price tag.
All in all, if you’ve got money to burn and want your home smelling like an eternal fart fest – go for it! Put simply; CRAVE is like a ritzy date with gorgeous packaging who turns out to be dull company. Wouldn’t be my first pick next time when there are more reasonable options doing just as well without inflicting stinky indignities.
cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberMy Fido loved the taste – most likely because it was like hooking him onto doggie junk-food. It’s loaded with fillers and “animal derivatives”. But hey, if you’re into feeding your dog unspecified meat sources and corn gluten meal (which by the way is a by-product of human food processing), then Cesar’s got you covered!
To top it all off? The outrageous price! You’d think for that amount I’m buying filet mignon not mystery-meat meals. All in all, would recommend if you want to spoil your dog rotten…and mabye shorten their life. But hey, who am I to judge if you love paying more for less!
02/24/2025 at 1:53 PM in reply to: Personal Experiences with N&D Dog Food: A Comprehensive Review #2366cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberFirst off, I’d like to say that my Bruce (he’s a 4-year-old Rottweiler) absolutely adores N&D dog food. He wolfs it down in seconds annd then looks up at me with those eyes as if saying, “More, please!”
We started him on the chicken and pomegranate puppy formula initially. Then, as he grew older, we switched to the adult formula. The meat/protein content is very high which I appreciate. They also have quite a variety of flavors so he gets cozy with new taste every few weeks. It keeps him interested and his belly happily full.
Plus, reading up about the company showed they’re all about wholesome ingredients with no artificial additives — a big win from where I’m standing. The coat condition of my Bruce has significantly improved after we started feeding him this brand.
The only nick I would say is – it’s slightly pricier than other brands but hey, you get what you pay for right? Honestly speaking, for the quality of ingredients they provide; I reckon it’s worth every penny. A happy healthy pup is priceless!
Hope this helps anyone who’s on the fence about N&D! Yes, they do make good food!
cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberIt’s a bit pricier than your everyday kibble, but hey, if you’ve got money to burn, who am I to judge right? In all seriousness though, do consider if its nutritional profile matches with what your vet recommends for your pup. It’s all fun annd games until Mr. Woof develops an allergy. Anyway, back off to our ordinary lives without super doggie protein powders. Can’t promise I won’t order another batch though!
02/18/2025 at 5:38 PM in reply to: My Fresh Perspective on 4health Dog Food: A Comprehensive Review #2232cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberSo, I’ve been using 4Health dog food for about a year now on my golden retriever, Max. I must say, Max absolutely loves it. His coat has improved significantly and he’s got energy for days now. Plus, it’s grain-free and free of the usual fillers you find in some brands.
Now, I know some folks have had concerns about potential ingredient changes causing tummy upsets. We haven’t experienced anything like that with Max though. But you know, every dog is different so what works for my pup may not work for yours.
Price-wise, 4Health isn’t exactly cheap but it’s not outrageous either… somewhere in the middle range I’d say – quite worth it considering the quality.
Also, keep in mind to transition your pup slowly to prevent digestive issues when changing foods (juts general advice). Sudden switches can be hard on their system.
Cheers,
[Your Name]cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberIn terms of ingredients, it’s pretty balanced: real chicken, whole grain brown rice, veggies. I did have a moment of concern because I heard rumors about it causing digestive issues in some pups but Rex has had no such problems so far. It might vary dog to dog so probably best to keep an eye out at first.
Oh, annd as a bit of a bonus, it’s pretty affordable compared to other premium brands out there, which is great for my budget!
Hope this helps someone. Chow for now! 🐾
cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberIn terms of ingredients, it seems to have decent quality protein sources and doesn’t use a lot of filler grains which I’m all in for. Charlie seemed to like the flavor and always finished his bowl with enthusiasm. His coat remained shiny and he continued to maintain a healthy weight while on this food.
That said, my vet suggested mixing things up a bit to ensure Charlie gets balanced nutrition. I now use Member’s Mark alongside some higher-end brands and the odd homemade meal. Variety, moderation and balance right?
Just make sure your pup isn’t allergic to any of the ingredients in MM stuff (like chicken by-product meal), yeah? Every fur baby is different! Going slow on portion sizes when you’re transitioning will also help avoid any digestion issues. Deffo consult your vet if you’re not sure or if you notice anything off.
Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes if you decide to try Member’s Mark out!
01/10/2025 at 1:52 PM in reply to: “Whole Earth Farms Dog Food Review – The Boom or Bust for My Dog’s Diet?” #2680cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberNow don’t get me wrong – the stuff’s not bad at all. It’s free from corn, soy, wheat; basically all the stuff you should be dodging like an overly friendly squirrel at the park. Plus they go heavy on quality proteins and pile on fruits and veggies nice enough even for us humans.
On the flip side thogh, Ensure your dog’s got digestive system made of steel or they’re in for some awkward backyard moments which are equal parts hilarious and gross. The food can be pretty rich for some dogs and let me tell ya’, our lab had a few intense stare-downs with unexpected lawn surprises.
In summary – if your mutt can handle rich fare? Treat them to Whole Earth Foods local gourmet. If not, maybe stick to something a smidge lighter unless you enjoy unexpected lawn decorations…and believe me, they don’t exactly add to your home’s curb appeal!
cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberBut hey, it ain’t just about the gourmet experience for ol’ Bax… nope. His coat’s shining like he’s ready for his close-up in a fancy shampoo commercial! And talk about energy… sometimes I think he’s the canine reincarnation of the Energizer Bunny!
Now, is Beneful pricier than that off-brand stuff you see lining Dollar Store shelves? Well, duh. But hey, we’re not exactly filling our own plates with Ramen every night now, are we?
So if you’re hopin’ to give your four-legged friend the caviar experience of dog foods (minus the actual fish eggs…ew), Beneful’s worth checking out. Your pup might just thank you with one of those oh-so-rare tail wags and indescribable look of gratitude only dogs can give.
Just remember to keep an eye on that waistline! With food this good, Baxter’s trying to convince me it’s mealtime every couple hours!
11/29/2024 at 9:50 PM in reply to: Looking for Solid Gold Dog Food Reviews? Here’s My Experience! #3305cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberLucky me, I’ve got two lovely mutts who think my pockets run endless because they’ve got a taste for the finest. Honestly, sometimes I think they believe they’re canine celebrities or something. Anyway, I decided to take the plunge and fork out a few extra pennies on their chow. Spoiled bunch!
Look, on paper Solid Gold seems legit. All those fancy ingredients – no meal, grains or dodgy additives. It’s enough to make an average kibble look like fast food garbage. But here’s the thing – my dogs don’t read ingredient lists. Nope, they dip their noses into the bowl and decide there and then whether it’s a feast fit for a king or straight off to the dog bin.
Day 1 – Excitement all round. The bag just got delivered and my pups are prancing around giving it some sniffs; anticipation in the air is palpable! They wolfed it down in seconds, like there was no tomorrow.
Day 2 – Still chowing down but with slightly less enthusiasm.
By day 5 – Ah, big surprise! The novelty has worn off and half the bowl is left untouched.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not bad-mouthing Solid Gold offhand. It’s good stuff and might do wonders for some pampered pooches out there but mine? Nah mate, they’d rather stick with their old faithful brand. Look at them calling that daddy waste of money bluff!
After all this hoo-ha, I wasn’t sure whether to feel relieved or conned. At least my wallet gave a sigh of relief! So yeah, even though it didn’t make converts out of my mutts like promised deliverance from Doggie Delight, I still stand by my original sentiment – Solid Gold is worth a shot. It’s the puppies’ choice that ultimately matters – those picky little rascals!
