MemberAnyhoo, back to the main event- Nutro dog food. I got Muffin the grain-free variant cause her stomach does somersaults with grains in the mix. And let me tell ya, it’s been a pretty dandy scene at dinner times. She wolfs it down like there’s no tomorrow and – touch wood – hasn’t flipped her food bowl or made any faces yet! Boy oh boy, woo-hoo for Nutro!
Bear in mind though, it’s costlier than your average kibble. But hey, doesn’t our fur family deserve the primo stuff? At least they’re not asking for designer dog attire or diamond studded collars…yet!
So there you have it; that’s my two cents. Hope it helps you decide whether you want to give Nutro a go or if your wallet deserves an easier ride. Later gator!

MemberAs far as how it’s worked out nutritionally, I haven’t seen any ill effects. His coat is still nice and shiny, his weight has been steady, and he hasn’t had any issues with digestion or anything like that. I do add a multivitamin supplement sometimes just to make sure he’s getting everything he needs. Vet says he’s in great shape.
I also love that it’s pretty affordable compared to some of the higher-end stuff out there. Our budget thanked us for making the switch!
One thing I will say though – go easy when you’re transitioning your dog onto a new food. Maybe mix it with their old chow for a bit just so they don’t get upset stomachs from the changeover.
But yeah, overall we’re big fans of Kal Kan over here. Give it a go and see how your pup likes it!

MemberStarted him off with the Chicken Formula and it’s safe to say he wolfed it down like there was no tomorrow! All natural, sustainably-sourced ingredients they said… I guess my pupper bought into that. Anyway Primal’s apparently got some serious nutritional value, all balanced, grain-free stuff – you name it.
Has anyone else turned their furry friend into a health nut too? Only downside is the price tag – not exactly your bargain bin find now, is it? If we’re being honest here, I haven’t spotted much difference other than how furiously he gobbles up meal times – but anything for our canine children, right? Would love to hear from those who’ve seen noticeable changes!

MemberOh, Sunday dog food, yes! I started using that brand a few months ago for my golden retriever, Rusty. In the beginning, I was skeptical; switching up his diet came with its fair share of anxiety. But honestly, their selection is impressive. They’ve got everything from Turkey & Brown Rice to Beef & Sweet Potato – so it’s been easy to find something Rusty loves.
The grain-free options also came in handy since Rusty has a bit of a sensitive tummy. Plus, what really sets them apart is the fact they use natural ingredients without any artificial additives. My pup seems energetic and healthy since we’ve made the switch!
One downside though – it’s a bit pricier than your usual kibble. But seeing my boy thrive and enjoy his meals makes every penny worth it for me. If anyone is considering Sunday, I’d say give it a go!
Always remember though -what works for one dog might not necessarily work for another. So make sure to transition slowly and watch out for any changes in your furry friend’s behavior or poop (yes, that part is as glamorous as it sounds!).
Has anyone else had any experience they’d like to share?

MemberWhen given plain and cooked well, pork can be a great source of protein for dogs. But like anything else, moderation is key. Too much can cause stomach upset or pancreatitis, especially if your pup isn’t used to it. It’s also rich in fat which could contribute to weight gain if overfed. So remember, small bits as an occasional treat should be fine! But yeah, check with your vet if you’re planning on making it a regular part of their diet. Hope that helps! 🐾

MemberPrice-wise, yeah, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but I look at it as an investment in my buddy’s health. If he’s gonna be contented and healthy then it’s worth every penny to me. Just make sure you transition your dog gradually onto it if they’ve been eating something else because sudden changes can upset their stomach.
That said, every dog is different and what works for Rufus might not work for yours. Vet approval is a good idea before making any diet changes. Hope this helps!
05/30/2024 at 10:05 AM in reply to: Looking for a Comprehensive Heart to Tail Dog Food Review? We’ve Tried it! #2396cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberHey folks, just thought I’d weigh in on the Heart to Tail dog food convo. Buster, my five-year-old Lab, absolutely loves it! It’s been a few months since we switched from his old brand and I’ve pretty much seen nothing but positive changes so far.
Remember when peeps were complaining about their dogs having energy dips? Well with Heart to Tail, Buster seems a bit more active, sprightly even… kind of like a pup again! His coat’s softer too—I won’t complain about less shedding.
That said, he did take some time to adjust. During the first couple of days, he turned up his snout a bit. But be patient guys, transitioning dog food can ruffle any pet’s routine. It’s like us switching from pizza to salads overnight (ha! as if). After a week though, his bowl was licked clean within minutes, every meal.
One tip, they have grain-free options which are great for sensitive stomachs but check with your vet first if you’re thinking of going grain-free. Every furball is unique after all.
So yeah, based on my experience with Buster—Two paws up for Heart to Tail! Anybody else tried it? Would love to hear more fur-parent reviews!

MemberOn a cost-benefit level, I believe it’s a win! It’s not gonna burn a hole in your pocket like some of those high-end brands, yet it provides decent nutrition according to the vet. But hey, remember that every dog is unique. What works for Max may not work for all pups out there.
Always advisable to gradually introduce new foods and monitor your fur baby’s response closely. Chat with your vet if you can before any major diet changes. Keep us posted on how it goes if you decide to give Nutra nuggets a whirl! 🐾
05/17/2024 at 10:39 AM in reply to: Go Solutions Dog Food Review: The Impact on Furbaby Health #2663cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberI’ve been feeding my golden retriever the Go! Solutions dog food for a good 4 months now, and honestly, I think it’s top-notch. Initially, I was skittish about changing his diet (we all know how picky dogs can get) but luckily, he took to it like a fish to water!
The food quality seems excellent; contains no by-product or suspicious filler content that you typically see in other brands. I’m really happy that they emphasize the use of whole protein sources. Definitely the peace of mind any dog owner would want!
Some other things I appreciate: It’s grain-free (my fur baby has a slight intolerance) and the choice in flavors is pretty extensive, so you’re bound to find something even for fussy eaters.
The noticeable difference came in his coat; SO glossy now.
The only downside? The price bangs the wallet a bit harder than other products on the shelf. But for me its worth it – given the quality.
Would recommend giving it a try for sure!

MemberI’ve been using Acana for my golden retriever for about a year now, and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. The ingredient list is pretty impressive – all high-quality stuff like free-run poultry, wild-caught fish, and cage-free eggs. No weird fillers or artificial additives. Pretty solid, if you ask me.
The other thing I love about Acana is that they have a variety of recipes to choose from based on your dog’s needs. My boy has a sensitive stomach and the “Light & Fit” formula works wonders for him. Plus, he seems to love the taste which is always a big win!
Price wise – yes, it’s a bit more expensive than some other brands out there. But honestly, I’ve found that you get what you pay for in terms of quality and nutritional value.
The only downside I can think of is availability – sometimes my local pet store runs out since it’s quite popular. So I’ve started buying it online just to make sure I always have a bag at hand.
Overall, give Acana a shot if you’re considering it. It’s done my fur buddy a world of good!
Just remember though – all pups are different so what works great for mine might not work the same for yours. Always watch your pup and consult with your vet if necessary!
Good luck!

MemberI saw some questions about Kindful dog food a while back, and I felt compelled to share my experience. We’ve been using it for our Labrador, Rocky, for about six months now.
The ingredients listed on the label were impressive – real meat as the first ingredient, no fillers, and added superfoods. It seemed like an ideal choice for Rocky! Switching his food was a breeze; he took straight away to the taste.
Two things that scaled up my liking for this brand are the noticeable change in his coat, (it’s shinier than ever) and his energy levels are through the roof! He seems happier and more active since we started on Kindful. As per stool formation (yeah I know it’s not everyone’s favorite topic but it’s important), no issues there either.
On the downside, it’s slightly more expensive compared to other brands we used before. I’d say it’s worth considering if you can stretch your budget a bit. Some people might be put off by this alone but honestly, considering the top-notch quality of ingredients they use, I see why they price it that way.
Overall, I’m happy with Kindful and plan to stick with this brand for Rocky barring any changes in circumstances or his dietary needs. Hope this helps guys!
Peace 🐾
03/29/2024 at 10:27 AM in reply to: Just Posted My Maev Dog Food Review – Has Anyone Else Tried It? #2109cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberI’ve tried Maev dog food for my golden, Daisy, and I gotta admit, I did see improvements in her health. She’s much more active and her coat is shinier than before. Plus, this stuff has all the nutrients our pets need which is a massive win.
The only downside – a bit pricy as compared to my previous choice. But hey, anything that keeps my fur baby happy and energetic is well worth it in my book! It’s a thumbs up from us. Do keep in mind what suits one dog may not suit another, so maybe get a small pack first. Best of luck to you and your fur baby!
02/27/2024 at 12:17 PM in reply to: Looking for a Genuine Blue Buffalo Dog Food Review? Here’s mine. #2263cheerful-petlover-2810
MemberOur Marley is a super finicky eater but he seems to love the taste of Blue Buffalo foods. I’ve noticed his coat got shinier ever since we’ve made the switch – probably that Omega 3 & 6 at work! Thumbs up on that front.
The only downside might be the price point though – a bit on the hefty side for sure. But honestly, seeing how healthy and happy it makes our fur baby, I personally believe it’s worth every penny. As always though, remember what works for one pup may not work for another so always keep an eye on your little mate when switching up their chow!
What’s been other folks’ experience? Do you guys think it’s worth the splurge?
