  • So glad I stumbled across this thread because I’ve actually been feeding my golden retriever, Daisy, Health Extension’s dog food for about a year and a half now.

Before I switched her diet, I did some heavy research on various brands to see what would work best for her. She has a sensitive stomach and some foods she tried before were just not going well for her digestion, poor girl. But with Health Extension, haven’t had any issues at all.

Not only does Daisy chow down like it’s the best thing since belly rubs (which if you know dogs, is saying a LOT), but I’ve also noticed some other positive changes. Her coat’s shinier and she’s got energy for days! Plus, having wholesome ingredients like organic chicken makes me feel confident that she’s getting the nutrients she needs.

The price might be a bit steeper compared to some brands but honestly? Seeing Daisy thriving like this totally justifies the extra bucks. In fact, I’ve started recommending it to friends with fur-babies too! Definitely worth a shot in my book if your pup has specific dietary needs or if you’re simply looking for an upgrade in their food.

Cheers to happy & healthy pups! 🐾

Just saw your post about wholesome dog food and I totally get investing in good food for our furry buddies. I’ve got two large breeds, a German Shepard named Max and a Labrador Retriever, Buddy.

For us, we switched to wholesome dog food about a year ago after my vet originally recommended it. I was surprised at the immediate change in Max and Buddy’s fur quality – it has been so much shinier and healthy-looking!

The only downside? Well, some of the recipes can be a bit pricey. But honestly, given how much more energetic both dogs seem to be–even our older guy, Max–it feels really worth it to give them high-quality grub.

One suggestion — if you’re not sure about committing yet, maybe ask the manufacturer or your local pet store if they have samples available. This way, you can see how your dog reacts to the switch before making any big changes.

    Hope this helps!

Bailey’s coat has actually become shinier and her energy levels are through the roof! Plus, there’s no filler stuff in the ingredients which is super important to me. The first ingredient usually chicken or lamb, followed by rice and other healthy grains. No weird preservatives or artificial colors either.

Now, as far as budget goes, it’s definitely easier on the pockets. Of course, your furball may have different taste buds or dietary needs so keep that in mind – every pup is unique after all!

One thing thogh – this food seems to have a stronger smell than some other brands we’ve tried. Not too bad but noticeable. All in all, Bailey and my wallet give Member’s Mark two paws up! 🐾

Just remember that what works for one pooch might not work for another. Always monitor your dog’s reaction when switching foods and consult with your vet if necessary. Happy munching! 🙂

    Hey Pup Owners!

Just wanted to drop in a word or two about the Rachael Ray Nutrish dog food. We recently switched our Golden, Max, over to this brand on the suggestion of a friend and let’s just say Max’s tail has been wagging more than ever.

Nutritionally, it seems pretty balanced with wholesome ingredients like U.S farm-raised chicken or beef as the first ingredient listed, which is a big plus. It’s also free of any poultry by-product meal, fillers, wheat or wheat gluten things that can mess up your pup’s digestion. So, if you ever had fears about feeding your pet something artificial or harmful, I think those fears can safely be set aside.

Now let’s talk about affordability – it’s definitely budget friendly from what I’ve seen at our local pet store. Of course, pet prices differ region by region but for us, it’s been good value for money.

The only drawback I’d mention is the limited variety. It might be because our store doesn’t stock everything but we’ve only found three flavors thus far. Thank goodness Max isn’t too picky with tastes.

Overall though, I would say that Rachael Ray has come up with a winner here. Good nutrition, decent price, and happy dog – all boxes checked! Of course, everyone’s experience may vary and each dog may react differently so make sure to keep an eye out when switching foods.

Hope this gave some insight for anyone considering trying out Rachael Ray Nutrish brand.

    Happy feeding!

Also, love that there’s no wheat, corn, soy or artificial additives; just what my vet recommended. But as always with dog food… every pup is different. What Charlie loves might not be the same for your fur baby. So maybe buy a small bag first before going all in? Anyway, hope this helps you out a bit!

in reply to: Nutrisource Dog Food Review: My Personal Experience #2036

Been feeding my pooch Nutrisource for about a year now, and honestly, it’s been great so far. She’s a four-year-old Lab with a sensitive stomach, and we had a REALLY tough time figuring out the right food for her. Tried all the high-end brands but nothing really worked until we stumbled upon Nutrisource.

I think what drew me in was their focus on easy digestibility. Made sense considering my fur baby’s digestion issues! Seriously though, her stomach troubles have pretty much disappeared since switching to this brand – no more unexpected surprises on the carpet, if you know what I mean.

Also love that it’s fairly affordable and provides a decent variety of flavors – enough to keep Miss Picky Eater happy at least. Only thing is, I wish I could buy it from my local pet store; currently having to order online as it’s not super widely available.

Anyway, hope this helps you decide if Nutrisource is the right choice for your pup too! Shoot me a message if you have any other questions. Happy feeding!

    Tail wags,

My labs, Max and Bella, are notoriously fussy eaters but oh boy, they went nuts for this stuff. I mean, just total tail-wagging pandemonium at meal times! Plus, their coat health really thrived; they look like they’ve taken a dive into a pool of shine gloss.

The ingredients are all-natural with specifications of grains (if you’re into that), and no poultry by-product meals. The cherry on top? Totally pocket-friendly compared to other “premium” brands. Keep an eye out for online deals too.

Remember though everyone, each pup is unique. We had a smooth transition but monitor your own little ones, especially if they have sensitive tummies! My recommendation: give Whole Earth Farms a try!

    Happy feeding everyone!🐾

in reply to: Feeding Fido: My Nutra Nuggets Dog Food Review #2200

Oh, Nutra Nuggets dog food? Yeah, I’ve actually used it for my Golden Retriever, Charlie. Just to cut to the chase – he seemed to love it!

The bag claims that it’s balanced nutrition-wise and I see it’s got chicken meal as the first ingredient which is a good sign. Always nice to see actual protein at the top of the list; some brands really skimp out on that part under all those grains.

Charlie’s coat got shinier and he’s got plenty of energy so I think it’s suiting him well overall. One small downside: his poop was a bit softer at first, but his tummy just needed time to adjust. Switching dog foods can do that sometimes, you know?

But in my opinion? Definitely give Nutra Nuggets a shot if you were considering it! Affordable too, compared to some others I’ve tried. Every dog is different thogh, just remember that. Good luck with your fur buddy!

Sure, it’s a bit on the pricey side compared to others but as they say, you pay for quality and this stuff delivers!

One of my dogs had some tummy issues with other brands but since we switched to Nutrish, he’s been happy and agile with noticeably shinier coat. Apart from the significant improvements on their health, I love the fact that it comes in recyclable packaging too, which gives it an extra thumbs up from this environmentally conscious pet mom!

All in all, every penny spent on Nutrish seems like an investment for our furry companions’ health and wellness. So if you’re thinking about trying it out, I’d definitely recommend it! Happy tails everyone!

Just had to jump in on the Nulo dog food convo! I’ve literally been feeding my golden retriever, Sam, Nulo’s dry food for about a year and it’s fantastic. His coat is so shiny and he seems more energetic than he was on his old diet. He just gobbles up the salmon and peas flavor like there’s no tomorrow. The fact that it’s grain-free with no artificial preservatives or colors is a big plus for me too.

Although, full disclosure, my pocket did feel a little light when we switched over from our old brand because let’s face it, Nulo is a bit pricey. But I reckon you get what you pay for — top-notch ingredients and happier, healthier pooches!

Still, each dog is unique so it might not work for everyone. Best advice? Give it a try and gauge how your pup reacts. After all, their wellbeing is worth every penny!

in reply to: In-depth Acana Dog Food Review from a Long-Time User #2041

I gotta say, the quality ingredients make a difference. Daisy has always been a finicky eater but she dives right into this stuff like there’s no tomorrow. Plus her coat looks shinier than ever!

The only snag is that it’s pricier than some other brands. So if you’re on a budget, this might be a bit of a stretch.

Also…get ready for some more regular poop walks as it really gets their digestion moving. If you ask me though, totally worth it. Every dog is different though, so give it a go and see how your fur buddy feels!

    Hope this helps!

Oh, I’ve got to tell you, my lab absolutely loves Tender and True! I switched over about six months ago after doing some research into healthier options. TBH, it’s been a total game changer for us.

First off, the quality of ingredients? Top-notch! No GMOs and everything is organic. To see meat as the first ingredient instead of some cumbersome grain or by-product was a breath of fresh air.

And let me tell ya – my pup can’t get enough! She practically inhales her meals every day. It’s funny, because she used to pick at her food before but now it’s if she can’t wait to eat during mealtime! 😂

What really sold me though was her increased energy and improved coat health. She’s shining brighter than ever!

Sure, it’s not the cheapest brand on the market, but investing in your fur baby’s health is worth every penny if you ask me!! 👍🐾

So yeah, that’s just my two cents 😊 Anybody else out there feeding their pups Tender and True? Would love to hear other experiences!

    Take care all,
    DogLover95 🐶💖

I notice his coat is shinier, and he’s got more pep in his step during our walks. One thing I’ll mention though – it’s a little on the pricy side, but hey, the ingredients are top-notch and Toby is worth every penny! As they say, ‘you get what you pay for’ right?

If anyone’s considering making a switch or trying something new for their fur babies, I’d say go for it. A happy pupper with a healthy tummy makes an even happier dog-mom! Well, at least in my case 😀. Just make sure to transition them slowly if they’re sensitive to diet changes.

Hope my two cents helped! Do share your own experiences if you go forward! Cheers to happy and healthy pooches!! 🐶

in reply to: Looking for Honest Vital Essentials Dog Food Reviews #3318

Hmm, Vital Essentials… yeah, I’ve been using the Vital Essential freeze-dried nuggets for my Golden Retriever, Max, for a few months now and he absolutely loves it! And boy oh boy, has his coat gotten shinier or what? I also noticed improvements in his digestion.

The price tag is somewhat hefty, no denying that! But I kinda consider it as an investment in Max’s health and well-being. The quality of ingredients is top-notch – all grain-free and raw which is a major plus!

One downside though; the smell can be quite strong and unpleasant (you know what raw food smells like), so keep your nose braced when you open that bag. But hey, nothing we wouldn’t do for our furry friends, right? 😉

So yes, Vital Essentials gets a huge thumbs up from Team Max! 🐕‍🦺👍

However, after a few weeks on it, I’ve noticed his coat is extra shiny, annd he seems to have more energy than ever (not sure whether that’s a good or bad thing yet with all the zoomies around my living room!). His stools are solid, which is always a good indication of healthy digestion too. It’s also packed with beneficial nutrients like omega fatty acids and joint-supporting glucosamine.

But what I personally liked the most is that the first ingredient listed is real chicken—no fillers or mystery meat.

Though it’s a bit pricier than some other options out there, the quality speaks for itself. Think of it as an investment in your furbaby’s health which might help save on vet bills down the line. Maybe get a small bag first and see how your dog reacts to it. Every pup is different after all! Happy feeding! 🐶
