MemberThe thing that really sold me on Maev was the human-grade aspect of the food. The quality is pretty impressive annd the ingredients are all natural — stuff like beef, sweet potato, carrots, you name it. Nothing processed or funky added in.
Here’s the catch though: It’s a bit on the pricier side compared to common commercial brands. But if you can stretch your budget a tad, I’d say give it a shot. And don’t sweat the convenience factor either – delivery was prompt for us.
Just remember to transition slowly if you do switch – a sudden change can upset their tummies! Hope this helps anyone looking into Maev!

MemberHey there, fellow dog parents! Okay, so I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Sammy, Beneful for a while now and I’ve had pretty decent results. He seems to enjoy the taste and bowls of other brands often go untouched.
Now, Sammy’s got quite the sensitive tum at times but he’s been good with both the chicken and beef flavors. I have noticed though a small increase in his weight over time which could be due to the grains in Beneful.
I also did some quick research online (you know how it is when you start worrying about your fur baby). There seem to be mixed reviews – some accuse Beneful of having too many fillers and not enough meat protein. Plus I’ve read some concerns about the food coloring they use.
But considering Sammy’s health checks are coming out fine so far and no current vet concerns, we’re sticking with it. It’s easy on the pocketbook and they sell it practically everywhere.
Anywho, those are just my two cents—always remember what works for one pup may not work for another. Would love to hear your thoughts on this whole Beneful thing.
Cheers! -
