MemberTo put it simply, this stuff is great! I was worried initially because Baxter’s tummy can be pretty sensitive but he’s had ZERO issues since the switch. Plus, he seems to love the taste which is a nice bonus.
Another thing I love is how transparent Kindful is about their ingredients – all natural and no shady fillers. It’s reassuring to know that you’re giving your fur babies the best quality nutrients. That being said, it’s a bit on the pricey side – so if you’re on a tight budget, it may be something to consider.
Bottom line? Baxter and I are happy campers with Kindful dog food so far. Would definitely recommend trying a bag for your pooch if you haven’t already.
Feel free to share your experiences or ask questions if you have any – love to hear from fellow Kindful customers!

MemberI’ve been using AvoDerm for a few months now with my Labrador, Bella. Honestly, she’s never been happier or healthier, and I have noticed a significant improvement in her coat – it’s shiny and soft.
The main ingredient is chicken, which she absolutely loves, combined with delicious and healthy avocado – sounds fancy, right? Avocados provide important nutrients that support skin and coat health, which was why I originally gave this brand a shot.
Here’s the downside though: it’s pretty pricey compared to other foods out there. But if you’re like me and prioritize quality ingredients for your fur baby over cost, then it might be worth considering. Plus side of the price tag? It doesn’t contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives – win win!
One more thing – make sure your little friend isn’t allergic to any of the ingredients before making the switch. But overall, thumbs up from us! Bella goes crazy at meal times now. 😆
Keep those tails wagging! 🐶

MemberI was a bit hesitant at first because Acana is pricier than some other brands, but seeing how well Benny has been doing on this food, it’s absolutely worth every penny. The ingredients seem top-notch as well – lots of real meat and very low in grains and fillers which was critical for Benny’s sensitivities.
Just remember though, each dog is unique and what works perfectly for one might not suit another. Always consult with your vet or a pet nutritionist before making a major diet change for your pooch!
So that’s my two cents on Acana. Has anyone else here had similar positive experiences with other premium dog food brands out there?

MemberJust wanted to drop my two cents about Beneful dog food. My golden retriever, Max, has been on it for a couple of years now and I’ve seen a noticeable difference in his coat and energy level. His fur’s looking healthier and shinier than before and he seems more lively during our daily walks since we switched.
However, I can’t avoid mentioning that when we did the switch, we faced some initial digestion issues with him. Nothing serious but enough to send us into a bit of panic. Our vet suggested mixing in the new food gradually with his old one, and after following this advice it all settled down.
Also, while I personally haven’t had any major issues with Beneful, I suggest every pet owner should do thorough research and consult their vets. After all, different breeds may react differently to the same food; what works for Max might not work for your furry friend.
Hope this helps!

MemberI’m really keen on the fact that they use real fruits annd veggies in their formula along with high-quality protein sources. It’s really important for me that Charlie gets all of his necessary nutrients without resorting to the cheap fillers some other brands use. Plus, their line is pretty affordable considering the quality, so that’s also a big bonus.
The only downside? The kibbles are a bit larger than most, so if you’ve got a smaller pup, this might pose an issue. But Charlie has no problem chowing down!
All in all, I’d definitely recommend giving Diamond Naturals a try! But remember: every dog is unique. What works for Charlie may not work for your furry friend, so always keep an eye on them when you switch foods and chat with your vet if you need advice.

MemberBenny used to have some skin issues and regular food seemed to lead to a lot of scratching. After switching to Blackwood, he’s doing much better now. His coat looks shinier and he seems happier in general.
However, do keep an eye on your furry mate when you switch their diet. Not all dogs react the same way as Benny did. Overall, though, I’m really satisfied with this brand.
The only downside is that it’s a bit more expensive than what I used to buy but seeing the improvement in Benny’s health, it’s a price I’m willing to pay. Worth considering if you ask me!

MemberSo glad you asked about Eukanuba, I’ve been feeding my golden retriever it for about six months now. By annd large, I’ve been pretty pleased with it. His coat is shinier than ever and he’s always got a truck load of energy (I wish I could borrow some of that!)
That being said, it did take him a bit to adjust to the brand — he had a bout of minor stomach upset for the first week or so. Plus the price is a smidge steep compared to what I was using before, but that seems to be the norm for high-quality kibble these days.
My pupper definitely loves the taste though! Especially the lamb & rice flavor which he gobbles up in no time flat – rest of his food goes untouched now thanks to that.
All in all, I’d say give it a shot if you’re considering it. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea (or bowl of kibble, ha!) but it’s definitely been a winner in our household.
Would love to hear if anyone else has had similar/different experiences with Eukanuba? Always eager to learn more from you all!

MemberJust saw your post about Iams dog food and thought I’d chime in with my two cents. I’ve been using Iams for my golden retriever, Tucker, for about a year now and honestly, it’s been pretty great. Tuck’s coat is shinier than ever and he’s full of energy. Plus, the kibble size is just right for him – not too big or too small.
The vet says his overall health has improved compared to when we used to give him generic grocery store food. The only downside (and it’s really nothing major) can be the price point which is a bit higher, but I find that it’s totally worth it for how much Tucker seems to enjoy meal times and how healthy he’s been.
Another minor thing is that the smell can be a bit strong straight out of the bag but hey, as long as Tuck’s happy with it, so am I! Anyway, hope this helps with your decision. Every dog is different so what works for Tucker might not work for your fur buddy. Good luck!
Cheers,

MemberAlso, the smoking process may introduce chemicals and excessive amounts of sodium into the meat. High sodium intake can lead to conditions like dehydration and high blood pressure in dogs– not good.
Now if your dog nabs a small piece off the floor during BBQ night, don’t panic. It shouldn’t cause any harm. But as a part of their regular diet? Not a great idea.
Remember to always consult with your vet if you’re considering adding something new to your pup’s diet or if you noticed some changes in their behavior after eating something different. They’ll give you the best advice tailored specifically for your fur-baby!
Stay safe and give your pupper an extra belly rub from me!

MemberI recently switched my Miniature Schnauzer, Rocky, to 4health dog food and I’ve got to tell you, I’m pleasantly surprised with the changes I’ve noticed. Rocky’s got a pretty sensitive stomach and he’s had no problems with this brand. Plus, his coat has been looking incredibly shiny lately – total bonus!
It’s grain-free, which is something I always look for in dog food due to some past allergy issues. And price-wise, it’s a bit cheaper than some other premium brands we’ve tried, but it doesn’t sacrifice on quality.
The ingredient list checks out too. All real good stuff like meat as the first ingredient and lots of veggies. Another big ‘yes’ from me is that there are no weird fillers or by-products.
As far as variety goes, they have quite a few options – both wet and dry foods. Rocky preferred the taste of chicken over beef one – one picky eater less in our family now!
Overall, we’re sticking with 4health for Rocky from here on out. He seems happy about the change and so do I! If you’re considering making a switch, I’d say give it a try.
Happy feeding!
08/20/2024 at 4:19 PM in reply to: “Black Gold Dog Food Review: A Dog Owner’s Honest Opinion!” #2426CozyHusky1951
MemberI’ve been using Black Gold for my two golden retrievers since they were pups. I find that they absolutely love it, and have had zero health issues to date. It’s packed full of nutrients…I checked, believe me, I’m a bit of a health nut. The bag’s label shows it’s got all the proteins, fats, and vitamins needed for a balanced diet.
The best part is how convenient it is – don’t have to supplement it with any other food or ingredients (of course, apart from treats during training). But each dog is different so your experience might vary. Do keep an eye on their responses initially: like digestion, energy etc.
One tiny gripe I have though – it can be a tad bit pricey compared to some other brands on the market. Still, I’d say quality-wise? Worth every penny if you can stretch the budget that far!
Hope that helps! 🐾 Stay pawsome!!
08/16/2024 at 12:18 PM in reply to: My Honest Taste of the Wild Dog Food Review: An Adventure in Canine Nutrition #2033CozyHusky1951
MemberHey there, fellow dog lovers! So I’ve been feeding my two golden retrievers with Taste of the Wild for about 6 months now. I can definitely vouch for this food brand because both Max annd Daisy seem to love it. They gobble it up so quickly – sometimes I worry they might choke, haha.
The high prairie flavor seems to be their favorite. It’s grain-free, which is great as Max has a sensitive tummy and grain-based diets don’t really sit well with him. The primary ingredient is bison and venison, which according to my vet are good sources of lean protein for dogs. Plus, the food also includes fruits and vegetables, perfect for balanced nutrition.
I noticed that both of them have shinier coats and feel more energetic since I made the switch. Of course, different dogs can react differently, but really it’s worth giving it a try if you’re considering this brand.
One downside though… it’s a bit pricier than your typical dog food, but in my opinion, our furry best friends are worth every penny.
Would love to hear other pet parents’ experiences with Taste of the Wild. What flavors does your pooch like?08/01/2024 at 2:59 AM in reply to: Looking for a Balanced Diet – My Wellness Core Dog Food Review #2648CozyHusky1951
MemberHey there, fellow dog parents!
Now when it comes to my pooch’s nutrition, I don’t mess around. So, I thought I’d give the lowdown on Wellness CORE dog food, which had been popping up all over my feed with glowing recommendations.
I’ve got a lively 5-year-old Boxer named Sam who’s basically my fur-child. The vet said he needed high-protein food for muscle development and stamina. That’s why I switched over to Wellness CORE Original Formula. It seems like a solid choice with turkey & chicken as top ingredients—definitely a high protein score! And if you dig into the label details, you’ll also find loads of veggies and fruits—it’s grain-free too.
So far, Sam seems to be thriving on it. His coat looks glossier than ever and he certainly isn’t lacking in energy (although, let’s be honest, when do boxers ever?). His digestive problems also seem to have improved since making the switch (yep…he was THAT kind of sensitive tummy guy).
Honestly, the calorie content worried me initially—it’s not exactly diet dog food. But luckily Sam’s pretty active so he burns through his meals like a champ. However, if you got a couch potato type of furry friend at home, might want to portion the servings carefully or look for another option.
Speaking about 🤑 though…Wellness CORE is kinda pricey compared to other brands out there. But when it boils down to quality versus quantity, I’m happy paying a bit more for something that has clearly boosted Sam’s overall health.
On the downside? Come feeding time every last kibble gets devoured-so it’s hard to tell if Sam loves the flavor or he just loves…eating!
Just my two cents here folks! Everyone should consult their vets before making big dietary changes as individual dog needs can vary quite a lot. Cheers!

MemberMy golden retriever has been on Instinct dog food for around a year now. We switched from a different brand because he was having some tummy issues, it was really hard to see him uncomfortable and not his happy-go-lucky self. I heard about Instinct from a friend of mine who swore by it, praised it for being grain-free and full of healthy ingredients.
Honestly, within a few weeks of making the switch, we saw a major difference! His digestion issues have considerably improved and his coat is shinier than ever. And, he absolutely loves the chicken flavor!
One downside (if you can even call it that) is the price point. It’s definitely pricier than some brands out there but in my opinion, totally worth it considering how it’s benefited my buddy. After all, nothing too good comes cheap right?
In conclusion, I’m super happy with Instinct dog food and would recommend giving it a go if your pup is facing any digestive problems. But remember – every dog is unique and what works for one might not work for all so carefully watch how your dog responds to any new food.

MemberJust saw your post about Evanger’s dog food. My Lab, Max, has been on it for a couple of years now annd honestly, I’ve seen nothing but positives! He absolutely loves the stuff – clears his bowl every single time (never happened before with other brands!). I did my homework and checked out the ingredients, and they’re all high-quality and grain-free too, which is an added bonus for Max’s sensitive tummy. Plus, their customer service is pretty impressive. No complaints here. Hope this helps!
