  • Jasper seems to like the taste too. Sometimes he can be such a picky eater, but he just gobbles this stuff down like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve also noticed his coat’s been lookin’ quite shiny and healthy recently, and his energy levels are through the roof!

Yeah sure, it’s a bit more expensive than your standard grocery store brand, but personally, I think it’s worth every penny considering how much healthier it seems to make your fur kiddo.

The only drawback (and this might be the deal-breaker for some people) is that it isn’t sold everywhere. In my experience, not all pet stores have it. I buy mine online.

All in all though, 10/10 would recommend Health Extension as an awesome choice for any four-legged members of your family.

I’ve noticed though, some dogs might not react well to grain-inclusive diets like this one (it has corn, wheat, etc.), so just be on the look out. The one thing I ain’t crazy about is that it does have some filler ingredients and artificial colors too. But so far Max seems happy and healthy with it and no major issues.

Main thing is you gotta know your pupper’s needs and talk it out with your vet if necessary when deciding on a good kibble brand. After all, every dog is different! Cheers mate!

One word of caution though – they can be high in calories so just make sure you adjust your dog’s meal portions accordingly so our furry pals don’t pack on the pounds!

    Stay paw-sitive! 🐾

I will admit, though, it’s a bit more pricey than other brands on the shelf but seeing Max thrive and knowing he’s getting all the good stuff without any filler junk makes it totally worth the extra bucks. Plus, MMM…those Bison & Apple Jerky Treats smell darn good lol!

The only downside with BIXBI is that my local pet store doesn’t always carry all their offerings – hence, why Max has only tried one flavor. Would love to test out the other options too!

In summary, if you’re looking for high-quality dog food that your pup will surely wolf down, BIXBI is a great choice in my books! Just remember every doggo is unique, so what works for one might not work for all. And always slowly introduce new food to their diet – learned this lesson the messy way 😉

    Safe munching folks!

The only downside is the price – it’s a bit pricier compared to others but in my opinion, the quality makes up for it. I mean, we gotta ask ourselves what price can we put on our furbabies’ health, right? Anyway, hope this helps out in your decision-making process!

Baxter (my Frenchie) is somewhat fussy, but he gobbled it right up! And what’s better, hasn’t had any tummy troubles since we switched – something we were battling for a while. Price is a bit steep though compared to other brands, but kind of expected given it’s celebrity-endorsed.

Keen to hear others thoughts before committing to buying the larger bag… anyone else here tried it?

I’ve been feeding our little furball, Max, zignature dog food for about a year now. He’s a beagle with some allergy woes, so we were on the hunt to find him a high-quality, limited ingredient diet and Zignature fit the bill.

No corn, wheat or soy – which is great for Max’s sensitive stomach – plus all their recipes are meat first. The first ingredient in each bag is always a protein source, so you know that your pet’s getting lots of beneficial nutrients. We switch between the turkey and trout & salmon meal formulas and so far, no complaints from Max!

Sure it does cost more than your typical supermarket brands but when you see the difference, you’ll realize it’s worth every cent. We’ve noticed his coat is shinier and softer, he seems more energetic and his digestion issues have pretty much cleared up.

All in all, I’d highly recommend Zignature. It might not be the cheapest option out there but for us, it’s about giving Max the best life possible – and Zignature is definitely helping! Hope my thoughts help in making your decision a bit easier!

    Cheers,
    [Your Name]

I like that it’s grain-free as Max has grain allergies but it’s somehow rich in proteins which is just perfect for his active lifestyle. As for the price, it feels reasonable considering the top quality ingredients they use.

The only thing you might want to watch out for is if your pup is picky – while Max can’t get enough, I’ve heard from a couple of other dog parents that their dogs weren’t fans right away. Hope this helps! Happy feeding! 🐾🐶

However, just a heads up – it did take Buddy a while to adjust to this food. The first few days he had some loose stools but we switched him over gradually and everything settled down. So if you do decide to try it, make sure changes are made slowly.

One concern is that it’s a bit pricier than some other brands in the market, but you know what they say about getting what you pay for. For me, knowing I’m giving my fur baby something healthy and nutritional is worth every penny. Plus, they have different flavors and types depending on your pet’s needs, so there’s room for variety as well.

So yeah, overall – solid 4 out of 5 from this proud dog dad! Hope this helps!

She’s a picky eater, but she takes right to it like it’s her favorite snack. She’s 7 years old now and still spry as a pup! Still has a shiny coat and sparkling eyes – the vet says she’s real healthy too.

But like all things, not everything fits all, right? Heard about some dogs getting tummy troubles from different food brands. As for Daisy, she never had any issues with IAMS. But again, every dog is different – what suits one might upset another.

If you’re considering changing your pup’s diet, best have a chat with your vet first. They really know their stuff and can give advice based on your pup’s specific needs.

Anyway, good luck with the food hunt. Hope you find the best fit for your furbaby!

in reply to: Looking for Honest Vital Essentials Dog Food Reviews #3326

So, my furbaby has been on Vital Essentials for about 6 months now, and honestly, we’re both incredibly happy with it. My girl has a sensitive tummy and used to have all kinds of trouble digesting regular dog food brands. But since the switch? Zero issues at all! Her coat’s been gorgeous as well, super shiny and healthy.

Another bonus is that she absolutely LOVES the taste of it. Meal times used to be a bit of a struggle, but now she’s always excited when she hears the bag opening! The freeze-dried nuggets are her fave – especially the beef ones. Yumm-o (at least from her perspective).

Price-wise, it’s not the cheapest option out there. But hey, you get what you pay for, right? Plus, seeing her healthier and happier is worth every penny to me.

Just don’t forget to gradually introduce new food into her diet if you’re considering a switch. We faced some resistance in the beginning but after a week or so it was pure smooth sailing.

So yeah, two paws up from us for Vital Essentials! Worth a try if you’re hunting for a healthier dog food alternative.

I’m a fan of the grain-free options and Max’s vet gave us the all-clear, though I know there can be some debate on that front. To me, one of the best parts is that they donate to pet charities with every purchase (a plus in my books).

However, Max had a brief period where he was less than enthusiastic about his meals – but that might have been due to him being particularly spoil-sport during that time than an issue with the food itself (he got back on track soon enough).

Always double-check with your own vet though, every dog is unique and what works for my Max might not directly translate over for your fur friend!

I’ve been using Black Gold dog food for about a year now for my Lab, Bruno. I’ve honestly seen a tremendous difference in his energy levels and the shine of his coat–trust me, it’s like night and day! Before Black Gold, we struggled with other brands where he would just pick at his meal and wasn’t that thrilled. But now, boy oh boy, meal times are a feast! And no signs of any tummy troubles or allergies either.

The good thing is they offer a bunch of different recipes, so you can easily find the one that matches your pooch’s dietary needs. We’re on the salmon grain-free option ‘coz Bruno has always been sensitive to grains.

But hey, every dog is unique, right? So what works for Bruno might not work for all fur babies. It’s worth trying out at least. And plus, the price point isn’t bad considering the quality you’re getting.

All I’d say is give it a shot and see how your furry friend responds. Hope this helps!

Just saw this thread and thought I’d chip in my two cents about Merrick dog food. Our Lab Mix, Bailey, has been on the Grain-Free Chicken + Sweet Potato recipe for about a year now.

In the beginning, we were worried whether she’d like it or not, but oh boy, does she love her meal times now! Her coat is shiny, she’s got loads of energy- heck, she finally lost that stubborn puppy weight many labs seem to hold onto.

I know the price point can be a bit on the north side compared to some other brands but you’ve gotta consider what you’re investing in here- quality ingredients, grain-free options, and even specific recipes for dietary needs. IMO, totally worth it!

Do remember though what works for Bailey may not work for your fur-baby. Always take a look at your dog’s specific needs because every pup is different!

    Stay pawsome!

Just keep in mind that every dog is unique with unique nutritional needs. What works for Louie might not be perfect for your furbaby. mabye try out a small bag first and see how they respond instead of stocking up right away? Cheers!
