  • They have a variety of flavors, too. Daisy tends to like the chicken one best. But then again, that dog will eat just about anything – she once ate an entire loaf of bread when my back was turned, plastic bag annd all!

However, every dog is different of course. Some folks’ dogs might not react as well to one brand as another. It’s about finding what works best for your particular pupper.

What really sold me on Iams were the vet recommendations and the nutritious content. Personally though, I would always advise for any major dietary changes to be done gradually to avoid upsetting your dog’s stomach.

Hope this helps! Keep in mind that good food is just one part of keeping our fury friends healthy – regular exercise and vet check-ups are important too!

To my surprise, Benny seemed to really enjoy this brand! You know how picky Goldens can be, am I right? His coat also started looking healthier and shinier after a few weeks. That could juts be me seeing things though.

One thing I wasn’t excited about was the size of the kibble – it was a bit larger than what we used to give him. Benny didn’t mind it but it could potentially be an issue for smaller breeds or dogs with dental problems. Nonetheless, it’s been great overall.

Just remember, every dog is unique and will respond differently to food changes, so keep an eye out when switching brands. Bet your pup would give you the paw-thumbs-up if they could though!

Those are my two cents anyway. Soooooooo… anybody else got experience with Members Mark? Would love to hear more about it! Let’s chat.

The company claims to use human-grade ingredients and honestly, it seems like they hit the mark. The menu variety is also excellent which means Daisy gets a good mix of protein sources and doesn’t get bored with her meals.

On the other hand, it can be a tad pricey compared to some other dog food brands out there. However, considering the quality of ingredients they use and how happy it makes my pooch, I think it’s worth every penny.

But remember, what works for my Daisy may not necessarily work for your fur baby. Each dog has different nutritional needs so make sure to do a bit more research or consult with a vet before making any big changes in their diet.

    Hope this helps!

She wasn’t her usual happy self while on this food – less active, less playful, and honestly started gaining weight which isn’t ideally what you want as a pet parent, right? Yes, the shiny coat promise did work out but overall health is what matters and I was quite disappointed there. Note: Every dog is unique and what didn’t suit Daisy might work for another fur friend, but thought highlighting this could help make an informed decision.

At the end of the day, prioritizing your dog’s health means considering various factors beyond just marketing labels. Are they actually enjoying their meal? Staying fit? All these details matter. My honest advice – start with a smaller pack if you’re switching brands and monitor your pup closely before making any permanent switch.

in reply to: Feeding Fido: My Nutra Nuggets Dog Food Review #2205

I’ve been feeding my Rocky Nutra Nuggets for a good while now, and I must say, he seems to really dig it. Rock’s got a sensitive stomach and this brand has treated him way better than the previous ones we tried. Coat’s glossier too!

It’s also quite wallet-friendly – which is always good news. Can’t deny there are some more “fancy” options out there with all sorts of bells and whistles like grain-free and stuff, but if your pupper isn’t dealing with any specific food sensitivities (other than a bit of a delicate stomach) Nutra Nuggets does just fine.

Only gripe? Wish they had more flavor varieties. Rocky doesn’t seem to mind, but I feel bad serving the same flavor every day! 😅 But all in all, we’re sticking to it until anything changes.

Remember, every dog is different, so what works for Rocky may not work for your fur baby. Keep an open mind – trial and error is the name of the game when it comes to dog food! Good luck!

He also never gets tired of the taste, which is a big problem I had with some other brands before switching to BB. annd the fact that it’s made with all-natural ingredients? That’s another huge plus because Marley has allergies and we’ve had to be super careful about what we feed him.

But as always, remember each pupper is different so what works great for Marley might not be fantastic for other dogs out there. Maybe have a chat with your vet before switching feeds or if you’re noticing any health changes in your doggo after the switch. Anyway, hope this helps anyone considering Blue Buffalo!

in reply to: My Honest Thoughts: Badlands Ranch Dog Food Review #1977

The ingredients list looks pretty clean to me: real meat as the first ingredient, no nasty fillers or by-products. However, I did notice that it’s grain inclusive, which may not work for dogs with allergies or digestive issues related to grains. My boy handled it without a hiccup though.

It’s a tad pricey compared to some other brands but I think it’s worth it considering the top-grade stuff they’re putting in there.

Hope this helps! Do keep an eye on your pup though and see how they react to any new foods – all dogs are different after all! Cheers!

in reply to: Sharing My Thoughts: An Instinct Dog Food Review #2279

I have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Riley, and we’ve been feeding him Instinct for about a year now. Honestly, it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made. His coat is glossy, and he’s got energy for days! The vet also says he’s at great weight for his size, so that’s a win.

One thing to note though – if you’re switching from another brand, do it gradually, just to avoid upsetting their stomachs. We did it over a week or so, starting with mostly old stuff then increasing the Instinct portion each day.

Oh, and can I just say? The ingredient list reads like something out of a health conscious human’s cook book! All real food you can actually recognize. No vague “meat derivatives” or suspicious filler content. It might be on the pricier side compared to some other brands but IMO you get what you pay for and this is worth it.

On the downside – be prepared for your pupper not wanting anything else once they’ve tasted this LOL. Good luck with your decision!

The price is a bit steep compared to what I was previously spending on food, but since Coco is a part of the family, I feel okay spending a little extra for her well-being. Still keeping an eye on her overall digestion and weight though – you never know how each dog will react to a new food.

So, thumbs up from us so far! Has anyone else seen any different results from feeding their pups this brand?

in reply to: Trying Freshpet Dog Food: A Review Worth Reading? #2383

I’ve been using Freshpet for a few months now, and lemme tell ya, my fur baby couldn’t be happier! I noticed he was getting bored with his normal kibble, so thought of switching it up with fresh, refrigerated pet food. His coat got shinier in no time at all and I even noticed a little extra pep in his step during our morning walks (as if those weren’t energetic enough already)!

The ingredients are super impressive. Real meat, veggies and we’re talking grain-free – my pup’s tiny belly thanks us for the change. I was a bit on-the-fence about the price initially…it is definitely higher than your typical store-bought kibbles. But hey, I’m all about quality over cost when it comes to my four-legged friend.

Just one small hiccup – make sure you got room in your refrigerator ’cause they do need to be kept cool. All in all, if you care about what goes into your doggo’s bowl (and ultimately their body), give Freshpet a try.

    Bark on!

in reply to: Debunking the “Can Dogs Eat Pork?” Myth #2057

If your pup is a big fan of meat, you might want to consider lean cuts or other protein sources like chicken or fish instead. It’s always good practice though to introduce new foods slowly, and when in doubt, consult with your vet. They know our four-legged pals best.

I hope this clears up your question ☺️
