MemberIt’s a little pricier than other brands, but they have never had a recall which gives me peace of mind. And you know what they say – you get what you pay for. My pup’s health is definitely worth those extra few dollars a month.
If anyone’s considering switching their fur baby to Fromm, I’d say give it a whirl! Just remember to make the transition gradually to avoid any tummy issues.
Hope this helps! Happy feeding!

MemberThe only drawback is that it’s a bit pricier than what I used to feed him. But honestly, I’d say the quality jump totally justifies kicking in a few extra bucks. Also, note that they’ve got several different formulas so you might need some trial and error to find out what suits your furry friend the best. That said, overall, Chester and I give WAG two paws up!

MemberI’ve been using Nutrish for my 4-year-old Boxer, Bruno, for a while now. I was a bit skeptical at first given its celebrity endorsement (from Rachael Ray), but I’ve found it to be great quality. The ingredient list is straightforward and pretty clean as far as dog food goes – no unnecessary fillers or weird stuff. Bruno really seems to enjoy the taste too, gobbles it up every time!
The only issue I ran into was that switching his food caused a bit of an upset stomach initially. But with any new food, that can be expected! Just make sure you transition your pup slowly – gradually mix it with their old food until it’s completely replaced.
All in all, we’re pretty happy with it. Plus, my vet gave it her stamp of approval which always makes a pet parent feel good!
Hope this helps you out! 🐾03/05/2025 at 10:11 PM in reply to: “Anyone else tried BIXBI dog food? A review from a fellow doggo parent.” #2915friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberI’ve been using BIXBI dog food for a while now and I gotta say, both my pups and I are pretty pleased with it. They gobble it up in seconds and have not had any digestive issues or allergies, which used to be a common case with other brands we tried before. You can really tell the difference since it’s made with quality ingredients.
The price isn’t the cheapest on the market but considering you’re paying for high-quality, natural ingredients, it’s worth every penny. Plus, the fact that they don’t use fillers like corn or soy makes me feel good about feeding it to my fur babies.
For those of you who might be thinking about switching, remember to do so gradually over a week or so to not upset your dog’s stomach! Hope my review helps someone out there! 🐾

MemberLet me just dive right in and say I appreciate Katherine Heigl’s passion for all things canine. Her dog food range certainly doesn’t disappoint on the health front. She seems to have infused a good balance of necessary nutrition in her recipes. My German Shepherd, Rufus, seems particularly fond of the chicken variant.
But I’ll have to be upfront and mention – the price point is not exactly wallet-friendly, especially if you’re managing a multi-dog household like mine! Besides, I find the kibble size larger than usual. If you’ve got tiny breeds or older dogs with dental issues, they might struggle with it.
Before switching over completely to any new dog food brand, always remember to see how your dog reacts to it first. What works well for Rufus may not necessarily sit well with your furries. When in doubt, consult with a vet!
Cheers,
Alexfriendly-dogmom-7181
MemberThat being said, every dog is different, so best to start with a small bag to see if your pup likes it. Be prepared though, because switching foods can lead to a couple days of upset tummies. Slow transition is the key – swapping out a little more of the old food with Beneful over time.
As with anything, moderation is key. Don’t forget that treats annd people food pack on pounds quick in our four-legged friends! Give it a shot and see how your pup reacts 😉
02/23/2025 at 1:22 PM in reply to: Looking for Opinions on Lone Wolf Ranch Dog Food: A Personal Review #2753friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberI’ve been using Lone Wolf Ranch dog food for my shepherd mix, Bud, for over a year now. I must admit, it’s so much better than the previous brand. He’s got a shiny coat and lots of energy – that he unfortunately uses to chase squirrels. The vet gave him a thumbs up on his last check-up too. It is a bit pricey though, and sometimes hard to find locally. But hey, anything for our fur babies, right? Oh and bonus… Bud loves the taste! I’d say give it a shot; works wonders for us.
Safe paws,

MemberI’ve got two labs – a spry young thing and an old timer – and switched to Loyall about six months ago. Both took to it well without any upset tummy issues or anything like that which was a relief. The younger one is absolutely thriving on it, really seen an improvement in her coat and energy levels. Meanwhile, my grizzled old buddy seems to have a bit more pep in his step since the switch too.
Now, it’s not the cheapest out there, but it ticks all the right boxes for me nutrition-wise – no fillers or artificial junk, plenty of high-quality proteins and stuff. And honestly, you’ll probably save a bit on vet bills down the line.
Only downside? Let’s just say there’s a certain… aroma once it starts to mix with their digestive systems if you catch my drift 😂 But that aside, totally recommend giving it a shot!

MemberWas just scrolling through and saw your question about Merrick dog food. Funny enough, I switched over to Merrick for my lab mix, Bella, a few months back. I’ve noticed some drastic improvements in her energy levels and coat condition. Plus, she absolutely loves mealtime now!
One major plus is the ingredient list – it’s filled with real meat and veggies and doesn’t have those sketchy fillers you often see in other brands. The downside though? It is on the pricier side — but for me, investing a bit more for Bella’s health? Worth it.
But remember, every dog is different. Bella adores the chicken and sweet potato recipe but your pup might prefer something else. You might want to experiment with a small bag first before entirely committing.
Good luck with your doggy food journey! Let us know how it goes.
friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberOne of the things I appreciate is that their ingredient list isn’t all fillers. It’s nice to see real meat as the primary ingredient. Plus, Bella has had no digestive issues on this brand which was a problem with some other brands we’ve tried before! No unwanted surprises, if you catch my drift!
That being said, each dog is different and what may work for one may not necessarily be good for another. For instance, if your dog has specific dietary needs or allergies, always check with your vet before making changes to their diet.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention – the price point is great too! For the quality provided, Kirkland tends to be more affordable than similar brands.
Anyway, hope this helps you out a bit… let us know whatever you decide!

MemberThe ingredients are top-notch too – no artificial stuff or fillers, which gives me peace of mind. I was skeptical about the price at first but the quality you get makes it worthwhile. It’s not just food, it’s an investment in your pup’s health. My wallet is lighter, but my heart is happier knowing my girl is getting the best.
Just one tip, transition slowly to avoid any digestive issues if your fuzzball hasn’t tried it yet. Cheers all! Keep wagging those tails! 🐾🐾

MemberI’ve been using Acana for about a year now and honestly, my golden retriever couldn’t be happier. My vet recommended it because of its high-quality ingredients with a great focus on protein. I’ve noticed a real difference in my dog’s energy level and coat health since switching.
The price is a bit steep compared to other brands, but personally, I think it’s worth it considering the benefits. Once I saw how much he loved it, and once I’d done some research on the nutrients included – no fillers or artificial stuff – I stuck with it. There are different flavors available too, so I switch it up every now and then to give him something new.
Of course, each dog is unique and what works for my fur buddy might not work for yours! Always good to ask your vet if you’re not sure or your dog has any special dietary needs.
Hope this helps!

MemberThe ingredient list on the Health Extension packs is clean and pretty impressive too. Everything is natural and they really put some thought into including super nutritious bits like apple cider vinegar, organic chicken, brown rice… the works. And no by-products or artificial stuff which I’m pretty strict about.
Honestly, the price tag gave me a tiny bit of sticker shock at first but seeing how it has improved Max’s overall health so far has made it worth every penny. Plus, it’s good knowing that I’m feeding her something wholesome.
Anyone else here tried Health Extension? Would love to know your thoughts too!
