MemberI’ve been feeding my Golden, Max, CRAVE for a few months now and I gotta say – it’s a huge hit! He absolutely loves the salmon & white fish variety. Clears his bowl faster than I ever saw before.
As far as ingredients go, it’s grain-free which is great since Max has a little bit of a sensitive stomach. Also noticed an improvement in his coat since switching to CRAVE – it’s a lot more shiny than before.
Gotta admit though, it’s a bit on the pricier side compared to some other brands we’ve tried before. But I guess it makes sense if you consider the high-protein content and quality ingredients they provide.
Just be sure to transition slowly if you’re switching from another brand or type of food. Rapid changes can upset their belly, speaking from experience here 😅
All in all, definitely worth giving CRAVE a shot if you’re thinking about it!Cheers,
Sarah with the super spoilt Max 🐕friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberHey there! So, my golden retriever has been chowing down on Iams for about six months now. Honestly? He seems to be loving it! I was a bit skeptical at first, but his coat transitioned from dull to shiny, and he’s got energy for days now. The ingredients list also appears pretty solid – no weird chemicals or fillers as far as I can see.
That said, every doggy’s different, right? So while my pooch thrives on this stuff, yours might not. They might have a sensitive stomach or food allergies… who knows? Best thing you can do is trial-and-error with small amounts first and watch for changes in behavior and physical condition.
Also, just FYI – Don’t forget to consult with your vet before switching up their diet too drastically! They’ll make sure the food meets all the nutritional needs specific to your furry friend’s breed and age.
Cheers!

MemberJust thought I’d chime in about Natural Balance. I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Max, the Natural Balance L.I.D Limited Ingredient Diet for about 6 months now annd I gotta say, I’m really happy with how it’s going. He’s got a pretty sensitive stomach but this product seems to sit well with him – no more upset tums.
His coat’s looking really shiny too, which is always a plus! The quality of ingredients seems solid – they cut out all the unnecessary fillers that some other brands tend to use. It’s slightly pricier than what we used to get for Max, but you get what you pay for right?
I like that there are different formula options you can pick from depending on your dog’s dietary needs. We rotate between sweet potato & fish and bison & sweet potato. Max loves them both!
Remember folks, every dog is different so what works for one fur kiddo might not work for another. But overall, paws up from us for Natural Balance! 🐾

MemberI opt for the grain-free turkey recipe – smells terrible but trust me, dogs go bonkers for it. Yes, it’s a bit pricier but seeing my pooches happier, healthier and energetic is well worth it in my book.
Just a tip if anyone’s thinking of switching: do it gradually. Introduce the new food progressively into their old meal to avoid any sudden digestive upsets. Good luck to you and your furry friends!
12/15/2024 at 8:25 AM in reply to: My Unbiased Pet Pride Dog Food Review: From a Seasoned Owner’s Perspective #2554friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberI’ve been giving my golden retriever, Max, Pet Pride dog food for about 8 months now. I’ve noticed that his coat looks shiner and he seems more energetic than before. He’s a picky eater but took to this formula relatively easily – which was a relief!
They offer grain-free options too, which is great if your pooch has any specific dietary needs. Mine does not, so I stick with the regular.
The price point was one of the factors which caught my attention initially. It’s affordable and doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket like some of the high-end brands. But remember, always do what’s best for your fur baby, not juts what’s light on your wallet.
One gripe I have is that I can’t always find it in local stores and often have to order it online. Just make sure you don’t run out before the next bag arrives!
All in all, from mine and Max’s experience – we give it two paws up! 🙂

MemberWhen I first switched over to Beneful, I was a little apprehensive. You know how fussy dogs can get with food changes. But surprisingly, Toby took to it like a fish to water. His coat’s been shinier than ever and his energy levels through the roof.
I particularly love that Beneful has real meat as its primary ingredient. Plus, it seems to have a good balance of grains, veggies, and fruits – not just the meaty fillers some other brands pack in. Toby’s digestion has improved noticeably too.
Here’s a small caveat thogh – every puppo is different and what works well for one might not go down so well with another. So always transition slowly if you’re considering switching food brands or consult your vet if you’re unsure.
Also, I’ve seen people concerned about artificial preservatives/fillers in Beneful. To be honest, there are lower-priced feeds out there that are more “natural.” If that’s high up on your priority list, might be worth looking into those.
All in all, our experience has been positive. Guess Toby will be chowing down on Beneful for dinner tonight!
Happy tail waggin’ everyone!

MemberI’ve been using AvoDerm for my Golden Retriever, Max, for about 6 months now. I swear, he gobbles it up like it’s gourmet! I was a bit sceptical at first about the whole “avocado superfood” thing, but hey, if it’s good for me it gotta be good for Max, right? What really sold me was knowing that the formula takes care of his coat. The difference is just night and day – his fur went from dull and drab to silky and shiny in a couple of weeks!
The price might make you wince a bit (it’s not exactly cheap), but honest to God, it’s worth every penny. Just remember though – suddenly changing any dog’s diet can lead to an upset stomach, so do switch over gradually if you decide to give AvoDerm a go.
Happy feeding,

MemberI’ve actually been feeding my Lab, Max, the Member’s Mark dog food for a few months now. He seems to love it! My main concern was finding a nutritious food that wouldn’t break the bank, and this option ticks both boxes.
Max is pretty energetic, and since starting on this food his coat has gotten shinier and he’s still got his usual peppy energy. I like that it’s got decent amounts of protein – think it’s real chicken they use.
However, don’t forget every dog is unique and responds differently to various diet changes. What works for Max might not work for your pup! It’s always wise to do a little trial test and see how your dog reacts before making a full switch.
If you’ve got any lingering doubts, throw them at your vet. They’re the best bet when it comes to tailoring your pet’s diet needs.
Happy feeding! 🐾

MemberJust thought I’d throw in my two ‘biscuits’ about Earthborn dog food. My Taylor, a 7-year-old Golden Retriever, absolutely loves it! We switched to this brand about a year ago after being recommended by our vet – best decision ever.
She used to be super picky and the standard kibble we were giving her just wasn’t doing the trick. Since making the switch, she’s more energetic and her fur is shinier than ever. Plus, her weight has been stable too which was a big concern for us as Goldens are prone to obesity. Next to that, I also felt good knowing that all ingredients are natural and grain-free.
The only real downside is it’s a bit more pricey than our old stuff, but hey if it makes Taylor happier and healthier, then it’s worth every penny.
If you’re really determined to find some top-notch grub for your pup, Earthborn might be worth trying out! Just remember, every dog is different so what works for one may not work for another; just saying!
Take care,
Your fellow dog-lover10/07/2024 at 10:34 AM in reply to: “Grandma Lucy’s Dog Food Review: A Personal Journey with my Furry Friend” #2768friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberThe dehydrated approach to dog food is pretty neat, too – you add warm water in a 1:1 ratio so it’s super easy and quick to prepare. Plus it kinda feels like I’m cooking for him (which I think he appreciates – ha!). At first, the smell was a bit overpowering (maybe ’cause it’s full of natural ingredients) but you kinda get used to it over time.
Price-wise yeaahhhh… it’s slightly expensive compared to other brands but once I saw how Max thrived on this food, I didn’t mind the extra cost. Guess it all adds up to peace of mind knowing your fur baby is getting top-quality food.
I’d recommend trying out a small bag first juts in case your pup has different tastes or any food sensitiveness – you never know with these guys. All in all, though, definitely two paws up from Max and me! 🐕🦺💕
10/03/2024 at 2:48 PM in reply to: Just Completed a Month on Farmina Dog Food – Here’s My Review #2414friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberMax was having some tummy trouble with the previous brand we were serving him; he’d often leave his meals half-eaten and just wasn’t his usual peppy self. That’s when our vet suggested switching to Farmina. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first. The price point is a little higher than I usually budget for pet food but, holy smokes! The change in Max has been night and day.
Apart from the fact that he actually finishes his meals now (and sometimes even looks like he wants seconds), Max has gained back all his lost weight and vigor – thank heavens. His coat has become shiny too; almost as if he’s glowing from within! If that’s not enough convincing, his number twos look much healthier as well. I know it might be TMI, but us dog owners have odd metrics for judging health, right? 😉
The contents of Farmina are impressive as well – it’s packed with loads of nutrients and proteins sans those awful by-products or fillers. It seems like good quality grub for my boy.
Circling back though – my wallet isn’t thrilled about this newfound love for Farmina – but honestly? Seeing Max healthy and happy again is priceless.
That said, every dog is unique – what works for Max might not work for every furball out there. Always best to consult with your vet first before any major dietary changes!
10/02/2024 at 9:26 AM in reply to: Looking for a Genuine Blue Buffalo Dog Food Review? Here’s mine. #2256friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberJust saw your post about Blue Buffalo dog food annd thought I’d throw my two cents into the ring. I’ve been feeding my beagle, Buddy, Blue Buffalo for about a year now. He’s picky as can be but took to this brand like a duck to water. His favorite is the Life Protection Formula – Chicken & Brown Rice mix.
One great thing I noticed is that his coat got shinier and less shedding too. His energy levels are up and his vet says he’s at a stellar weight for his age and breed which I take as pretty solid evidence that it’s nourishing him properly.
But gotta admit, it pinches the pocket more than the other brands out there. I mean, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality but still, might not work if you’re on a tight budget.
Also, crossing my fingers here ’cause I heard some folks faced recalled bag issues in the past – hasn’t happened to me yet though!
Overall, Buddy seems to love it and it looks like it’s doing him good health-wise. So yeah… might be worth sampling and see how your pup reacts!
09/12/2024 at 10:10 PM in reply to: Looking for inputs on Heritage Ranch Dog Food: Is it worth the hype? #2330friendly-dogmom-7181
MemberWe started with the Grain-Free Beef & Vegetable Recipe – easy transition from his old kibble and he gobbled it up no problem. Plus, I haven’t seen any signs of bloating or food allergies that gave us trouble with some other brands. Rumor has it the ingredients are pretty solid too – real beef as the first one (big win!) mixed with fruits and veggies, not a bunch of hard-to-pronounce fillers and by-products.
The price tag is surprisingly friendly given its quality. The folks at Heritage apparently wanted to make sure all pet parents can afford good nutrition for their fur-babies.
Max’s coat is shinier than ever and his energy levels? Through the roof! He’s lost a bit of extra weight (much needed) too – so I reckon this stuff’s gotta be doing something right, haha!
Of course, each pup is unique and what works wonders for one may not fit all. But if anyone’s thinking about trying out Heritage Ranch, Max and I give it four paws up! 🐾 Just keep an eye on your pooch during transition – they might need a bit time before adjusting completely to any new diet, even a top-tier one like this.
Happy feeding, guys! 🦴🐶

MemberPlain cooked pork is alright in small amounts, but always best to avoid anything heavily seasoned or rich (like bacon or sausage) as the high fat content and spices can upset their tummies. Onions, garlic and some other typical seasonings can even be toxic for them!
So yeah, little bit of plain cooked pork as a treat – probably okay. Just make sure any pork bones are out of reach – they splinter easily and can cause major problems.
But don’t forget every dog is different and some may have food sensitivities. So if Fido never had pork before, maybe just try a small amount first and see how he takes it.
As always though, when in doubt ask the vet. They know your dog’s needs best. Happy feeding!

MemberThe ingredient list seemed more natural and less processed than other brands, which was a big win for me. They advertise it as “human-grade,” which doesn’t mean I’m digging in (haha), but good to know what’s going into Bailey’s belly.
A small word of caution thogh – if your furry friend has a sensitive stomach or specific dietary needs, do consult with your vet before the switch. My friend’s poodle didn’t react too well to the transition initially.
So far it’s a thumbs-up from Bailey and me! Hope this helps in your decision-making process!
