MemberHe’s also got a bit of a sensitive stomach and we found this stuff has really helped him. Noticed fewer incidents of upset tummies since we made the switch. The ingredient list is impressive too, simple yet nutritious.
That said, it is kinda pricey compared to other brands but hey, anything for our fur buddies right? Plus, saving on vet bills due to less allergies and health issues kinda balances it out in my book.
Don’t juts take my word for it though. Give it a go if you’re considering the switch and see how your pup responds!

MemberOh man, I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Rusty, Badlands Ranch dog food for about a year now. He’s a bit of a picky eater but he loves this stuff. I’ve noticed his coat looks shinier annd he definitely has more energy during our morning walks.
The ingredient list looked good to me too – no artificial stuff, all natural and grain free which is perfect for Rusty. He had some small allergies with other foods before but since switching over, we haven’t seen any issues. Plus, it comes in several flavors which makes rotating his diet simpler.
Only slight downside is the price point… it’s a tad pricey for regular use especially if you have more than one four-legged friend at home. But heck, for the quality, I reckon it’s worth every penny. Just my two cents!
Have you tried out their wet food yet? Rusty hasn’t done canned food consistently, but am thinking about mixing it up a bit. Anyone had any experiences with that?

MemberGreat question! Some might tell you that pork is off-limits entirely, but I believe small quantities won’t harm your dog if it’s properly cooked and not too fatty. Raw pork can be a serious threat due to potential parasites or viruses. Always remember to remove any seasoning before offering to your pup.
Nevertheless, other types of meats like chicken, turkey, and beef are generally safer and healthier choices for dogs compared to pork because of their leaner nature and higher protein content. But really, each dog is unique – they handle food differently depending on their individual health, age, size etc., so always monitor how your doggo reacts to any new foods.
When in doubt, consult with your vet. And if you notice any change in their behavior or digestion after consuming pork, definitely reach out to a professional. That’s what has worked for me my whole ‘dog-moming’ journey 😄
Hope this helps!

MemberJust spotted your post while browsing the forum and thought I could share my two cents about Maev dog food. Been feeding it to my golden, Toby, for about 3 months now and I have to say I’m quite pleased.
The ingredients hit all the right notes for me — whole foods, grain-free, and sourced responsibly. It’s got probiotics too which is a nice bonus. Toby seems to dig the taste as well! He’s always wagging his tail whenever mealtime comes around, and his energy levels are through the roof!
The only downside? It’s a bit on the pricy side compared to what I used before. But hey — you get what you pay for, right? I’d rather shell out a bit more for quality food than skimp and regret it later.
I’d say give it a shot if you’re considering it. Every dog is different so your pup might react differently but overall, Maev seems like a solid choice in my book. Let us know how it goes if you decide to try it out!

MemberI’ve been feeding my fur-pal Iams for quite a while now and let me tell you – we’re both big fans! The ingredient label looks solid, with meat being the first thing listed. On top of that, the price also doesn’t make my wallet cry every time I restock – always a plus.
My dog’s coat has been shiny and his energy levels are through the roof ever since switching from his old brand. It seems like it really suits his system. The only downside is that he seems a bit gassy sometimes but let’s be honest, what dog isn’t? 😂
All in all, in my books, Iams gets two thumbs up (or in my buddy’s case, two paws up). Though remember, every pup’s different and what works for one might not work for all. Best bet is to try it out!
Anyway, hope this helps, happy feeding! 🐶

MemberThe ingredients look decent for its price point – chicken, whole grain corn, barley, rice etc., although I do wish they had named meat sources in the list instead of ‘meat by-products’. But Rusty’s coat has been shinier and energy level’s pretty high since we started this.
However, just remember every dog is different. So while Rusty’s having a gala time munching on Beneful, it might not go down as well with other dogs. It can depend on their specific dietary needs or sensitivities. Always good to introduce any new food slowly and see how your fur buddy reacts in a week or two.
Feel free to ask more if you’d like. Happy feeding!
