  • Oh wow, Pawstruck dog food, talk about a trip down memory lane! I used to feed my golden retriever mix that brand all the time when he was in his puppy years. From what I can remember, he loved it!

But yup, as for reviews, I’d say Pawstruck is pretty solid. Quality ingredients and no filler junk – always important if you ask me. My boy seemed to have more energy after his meals and his coat even got shinier which was a big plus.

Maybe keep in mind though, every dog is different right? What works for some pups might not work for others. Maybe try a smaller bag first just to see if your furball likes it.

I’ve been using Health Extension for my golden retriever, Benny, for about a year now. Can’t say enough good things about it! I noticed a real change in his energy levels and rarely have to worry about any stomach upset. Plus, his coat’s never looked better!

The little guy could be a tad picky with his food before – but he took to this stuff immediately. High protein content, grain-free – checks all the boxes for nutrition according to our vet. On the pricey side, but totally worth it IMO. Hope this helps anyone considering making the switch!

    Happy Dog Parenting,

But mind you, every dog is different. Mine took to it like a duck to water. Another plus is that it doesn’t have any artificial flavors or colors – I mean, we’re trying to keep their diet natural as much as possible, aren’t we?

I will admit, it’s a bit pricier than some other brands out there. But seeing my pup enjoy his meals and stay active… let’s just say it feels worth it.

Just a heads up to gradually introduce it into your dog’s diet though, sudden changes can upset their tummies.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted on how your fur-kid likes WAG!

One thing though—I did notice her stool was a bit loose when we first transitioned. But after mixing in some pumpkin puree for a few days, she was back on track. All in all, Sadie seems happier and more energetic on BIXBI. I’d say give it a whirl if you’re considering a switch, just remember to transition slowly to give your pup’s stomach time to adjust. I’d definitely recommend this stuff so far. Keep me posted on what your pups think! 🐶

The ingredient list checked out OK when I glanced at it, nothing too egregious. But each pup is an individual so what can be glorious for mine might not be the best for another. Perhaps start off slow, maybe try out some samples first if they have ’em? Hope that helps! Let us know how it goes if you decide to try it!

But what I like is that it seems to be filling him up well and supporting his weight maintenance given that labs have a tendency to put on weight. His coat looks shiny and healthier ever since making the switch too! It’s also quite affordable compared to some of the other brands out there which is a big plus.

Of course, this could just be because it works well with Murph’s system – all dogs are different after all. So if you’re thinking about making a switch, I’d say mabye buy a smaller bag first to see how your fur-baby does with it. Good luck with the food hunt!

I’ve been using The Honest Kitchen food for my Golden Retriever, Max, for about 6 months now and honestly, we’re big fans. Before, he was on a well-known brand diet but had occasional digestive issues. But since switching to Honest Kitchen’s dehydrated formula – it’s like night and day. His digestion has improved tenfold.

And another thing, Max absolutely loves the taste. I usually mix it with warm water as suggested, and let me tell you, he wolfs it down within seconds (which never happened before). The quality of ingredients looks impressive too – free-range chicken, organic grains, fruits, veggies – it all sounds very wholesome.

Yes, it is a little more expensive than the regular kibble I used before but in terms of Max’s health and happiness, I reckon it’s worth every penny. You really get what you pay for quality-wise.

The only minor gripe might be the prep time involved compared to normal dry food. It’s not quite as convenient because you need to rehydrate it with water but once you get into the swing of things, it’s no biggie.

Hope this helps anyone considering the switch! Happy feeding! 🐾😊

One thing I love is that we finally managed to settle his sensitive tummy problems, so big win there! Another major plus, his coat has never looked better, super shiny and healthy! Every time at the dog park, people ask me what I feed him.

The only downfall I see is availability. It’s not easily found at my local pet stores so have to make an online purchase every time. That said, it doesn’t really bug me too much as long as Max is happy and healthy. On a scale of 1 to 5, definitely a solid 4 for us!

Has anyone else had similar experiences or any different opinions? Would love to hear your thoughts!

in reply to: My Personal Experience and Kal Kan Dog Food Review #2471

Oh, Kal Kan, yes! I actually switched to it a few months ago after reading some glowing reviews. For the record, my dog is a picky eater annd yet he devoured his first bowl of Kal Kan like there’s no tomorrow. It’s wallet-friendly too so I’d say it ticks all the right boxes.

Now on the nutritional front – let me put it this way – if you’re comparing it with premium brands like Orijen or Acana then yes, there’s a noticeable difference in terms of meat quality and additions like fruits & veggies. But if your budget is tight and you need a decent feed for your fur buddy, I think Kal Kan does a fair job.

One thing though, do remember every dog is unique. What works great for mine might not suit yours. My advice would be to try out a small pack first and see how your canine responds. Truthfully speaking, at the end of the day, it’s all about balance – good nutrition coupled with exercise and regular vet checks keep our dogs healthy!

Good Luck! Let us know how it goes.

Been feeding my golden retriever, Benny, Pet Pride Dog Food for over a year now. Noticed that he’s a tad more energetic and his fur is glossier than ever. The best part? It doesn’t break the bank like some other high-end brands I’ve tried in the past.

However, gotta admit I had to switch it up with some canned food every few days because Benny seems to get bored of the kibble after a while (can’t blame him though, who likes eating the same thing every day?). Wish they introduced more flavors.

So, overall solid thumbs-up! If your pup isn’t super picky about flavors, I say give Pet Pride a shot. Remember, every dog is unique, so monitor your loves and observe if it suits them well.

Always all about the pet pride haha! 😉

Drop by again if you have any more queries.

    Cheers,
    Paul (and Benny🐾)

Benji seemed to love the taste – that tail wagging annd bowl emptying speed says it all! Plus, his coat’s been looking healthier and shinier since we started. Still, everyone’s pup is different so what works for mine might not hit the spot for yours. But hey, definitely worth giving a try if you ask me. Price-wise its in the premium segment but you know what they say – “you are what you eat”, right? Same goes for our four-legged buddies too! 🐾

If anyone else tried it, chime in! Love hearing from other dog parents out there.

The ingredients look pretty good to me – real meat, veggies, and grains without all those nasty fillers. It’s an easy swap if you’re aiming for a diet that’s closer to what dogs would eat in the wild. They also have grain-free options if your pup has specific dietary needs.

Just keep an eye on how your dog reacts after the switch over tho, as every furry friend is individual and may respond differently. Oh, and remember…always gradually introduce new food into their diet to avoid any digestion issues. Paws crossed Nutrish works out for you and your buddy! 🐾

As far as nutritional content goes – this stuff is top-notch. Low-grain, high protein, and packed with fruits and veggies. Plus it uses quality animal proteins which are super important for our canine friends.

The only downside? Price point’s a bit steep. But hey, you get what you pay for right? Bella’s health is definitely worth every penny and we’ve had fewer vet visits since we switched. All-in-all, I’d say N&D is pretty darn good dog food if you can swing it. What’s everybody else’s experience been like?

I just saw your post about Member’s Mark dog food, and I thought I’d chime in with my two cents. We’ve been using this brand for our Golden Retriever, Max, for about six months now. Gotta say, Max seems to love it. Plus, the price is pretty good compared to other brands out there.

Looking at the ingredient list, it seems like they have all the nutritious stuff dogs need. Though, I’d definitely recommend doing your own research as every pup is different and some might have specific dietary needs.

One thing we did notice was that switching over caused Max a bit of upset tummy for a few days but he adjusted quickly. By week two, no more issues. Of course, changing dog’s diet abruptly can often lead to this kind of reactions so it wasn’t realy a big shocker.

All in all, no major complaints here! We’ve found value for our money without sacrificing on quality. But it’s like anything else; you’ve got to try it and see if it works for your fur baby.

    Hope this helps!

But like all things, it wasn’t a smooth journey at the start – Buddy had to adjust to the new food, so we did see some loose stools at first. That worried me for a bit but with gradual transition mixed in with his old food, everything went back to normal in a week or so.

My advice – go easy on your pup while introducing any new food into their diet; an abrupt change could really mess with their system. But now Buddy can’t have enough of Solid Gold!
