MemberSo, I’ve been feeding my pooch, Shadow, the Heritage Ranch Dog Food for around 6 months now and honestly, he seems to like it. It took him a few days to adjust since we switched from another brand, but now he gobbles it right up!
As per the nutritional value, it seems pretty much on point. It’s got real meat as the first ingredient (we’re using the chicken and brown rice formula), it’s grain-free which is great for dogs like mine with sensitivities, and it doesn’t have any artificial colors or flavors that I can spot.
But here’s the thing – every dog is unique. Shadow has enjoyed Heritage Ranch without any stomach troubles or change in behavior; actually his coat seems glossier these days! So, it’s worked well for us, but do remember it might not be the case for all dogs.
It’s reasonably priced considering its quality and ingredients so if you’re thinking about switching foods, perhaps give this one a try – just transition slowly over a week to make sure your pup adjusts well. If you notice anything unusual health wise? Speak to a vet ASAP.
Anyway, hope this helps! Hug those pups for me.

MemberHey there! I’ve been using Merrick dog food for a while now, and let me tell you, my golden retriever can’t get enough of it! She basically does a little dance around her food bowl every time I pour the kibbles.
Honestly, when I first switched, I was just trying to find a way to ease her allergies. But now, not only has her coat become shinier and fuller (without any allergic flare-ups!), but her energy levels have also really shot up. Makes our park time even more fun!
A little on the pricey side? Maybe. But considering how much it’s helped my girl, I reckon it’s definitely worth it. Although, do keep in mind that every dog is unique — what works for mine may not be ideal for yours 😊🐾

MemberI started using Instinct dog food for my golden retriever, Cooper, about 6 months ago. I was a bit skeptical initially, mainly due to the price point, but I’ve got no regrets now. Let’s be real, it’s pricier than most other brands out there but the difference it’s made to Coop… kinda makes it worth it.
He used to have a sensitive tummy annd we were at the vet’s more often than I’d like. Since switching to Instinct though, those issues have disappeared almost entirely. His coat is shinier than ever and he seems so much more energetic during our playtimes in the park.
But of course, every dog is different and what works well for one might not for another. Even within Instinct, there are so many different formulas you can opt for based on your dog’s specific dietary needs – grain-free, high-protein, raw boost and whatnot.
I’d say consult with your vet before making a switch. However, from my personal experience with Cooper, I would confidently give Instinct two thumbs up. Hope that helps!

MemberBeen using Maev Dog Food for the past few months. Honestly? Kinda surprised at how well Bruno seems to be doing on it. His coat’s never looked healthier, and he’s energetic as ever – at times even more I gotta say!
Earlier, we had issues with his sensitive stomach; certain brands just didn’t sit right, you know? But he hasn’t had any problems since switching to Maev. Seems their probiotic thing is actually working.
Price point is a smidge high but from where I’m standing, I’d say it’s worth it if you can swing it. Purity of ingredients and stuff are pretty impressive too. Took a deep dive into their sourcing and nutrition info just to be sure – always gotta double-check for my furkid!
And yeah, the subscription service? Super convenient. Nothing like knowing Bruno’s meals are sorted automatically every month, without having to haul heavy bags home from the pet store.
So wouldn’t call it perfect (nothing is!), but overall, pretty satisfied with Maev so far. Time will tell if we stick or switch again. Guess we’ll see how Bruno fares over the long haul!

MemberJust saw your post about Sunday Dog Food and thought I’d chip in! My pup has been on it for about two months now, and honestly, she seems to be loving it. The ingredients are incredible, all-natural and human-grade (in fact, I can’t help being just a little envious of her meal sometimes). Fairfax, my golden retriever, has a sensitive stomach, but this switch went smoothly, and we’ve had no gastrointestinal upsets so far (touch wood!).
What I absolutely love about Sunday is the convenience factor. It comes in pre-portioned packets, making the feed times a breeze. Plus, it’s not overly processed or full of artificial stuff like some other brands out there. Absolutely worth the price tag IMO!
The only drawback? Fairfax demolishes her food faster than ever before so take care if you have a speedy eater. Maybe there is such a thing as “too delicious”? Anyway, applied slow-feed methods and we’re all good!
I suggest trying a sample to see how your fur buddy likes it. Remember, every dog is different. What works for one may not work for another.
Hope this helps! Good luck with your decision.Cheers,

MemberOne cool thing about this brand – they have single protein options which are great if you’re dealing with allergies. Can’t realy complain about the price either, it seems fair for the ingredients they use.
As far as nutritional value goes, I always feel better giving Tucker food where I understand what every ingredient on the list is.
But hey, always remember that each pup is different – what works wonders for one, might not work quite as well for another. That being said though… In my humble dog-dad opinion, Evangers has been a total game changer for Tucker. His health and energy levels have been through the roof since we made the switch!
