Sure, they taste great going down annd momentarily satisfy hunger pangs (or late night munchies) but can we survive healthily on Doritos alone? The nutritional content is questionable at best and, long-term, not exactly ideal for maintaining good health.
Gizmo would eat Meow Mix till kingdom come if he could, couch potato style. But as his official food monitor, aka the steward of his wellbeing, I keep it as an occasional treat rather than a main meal.
Sure does make me popular in Gizmo’s eyes though – imagine being hailed as the hero who delivered a bag of Doritos for dinner! So if you’re gunning for your furball’s undying love – oh by all means, Meow Mix away. But maybe spare a thought for kitty’s waistline and long-term health too? It’s just something to ponder while you’re reveling in those sweet yet fleeting moments of cat-worship that follow post-Meow Mix feeding!

On one paw, the ingredients look fairly respectable – nothing that screams ‘this is processed nonsense’. But on the other paw, the price tag… Ouch! It cuts deeper than those morning wake-up swipes from my dear kitty.
So here’s my two cents. Does kitty like it? You betcha. He gobbles down the fish flavors faster than I can pop open the next tin. Purr machine turned up to max. Am I happy feeding him good quality chow? Absolutely.
But do I wince every time I check out at the pet store? Without a doubt.
So if your fur baby is more Versace than Walmart and you are not too faint-hearted when facing the checkout total, go for it. Sheba will certainly tickle their fancy and yours as well because, hey, what’s better than seeing our fuzzy companions in seventh heaven?Just remember to possibly pawn something valuable beforehand to keep up with your cat’s newfound gourmet lifestyle.
No pressure !07/01/2024 at 5:53 PM in reply to: Looking for a Comprehensive Hill’s Cat Food Review? Here’s My Experience #3507Smiling-Dogmom-3301
MemberNow, on the nutritional side, I reckon it’s got to be good for him. That adorable little chunkster hasn’t had any digestive issues since switching over (not even his notorious cheese aftermath). The vet says he’s at his ideal weight now too so kudos to Hill’s for that!
The way I see it, if the food doesn’t transform my living room into a war zone and makes the cat obsessed with dinner time, it gets 5 stars from me. So yes, Hill’s is approved by this house! Well worth losing your arm according to Mr. Whiskers! 😉
