  • Their ingredient list is pretty impressive too – real meat (no by-products), fruits, veggies annd no artificial preservatives. That, in my book, translates to ‘quality’. Plus, the variety they offer is top-notch! Rover is particularly fond of their Grain-Free Beef Frittata Veg Recipe…yeah, sounds fancy right?

As far as Rover’s health goes since switching to Fromm – his coat’s gotten glossier, he has more energy than ever, and even his stool is regular and firm (I know it sounds kinda gross but we’re all dog parents here 😂).

The price point can be a bit steep compared to other brands, but personally I find it’s worth every penny for Rover’s happiness and health. After all aren’t our furry babies worth it? 🐶🧡 Though do keep an eye out for deals online or in pet stores to save some bucks!

Remember that every dog is different though, what works wonders for Rover might not work for your fur-baby. Maybe try a smaller bag first to see if your pup likes it?

Who else here has tried Fromm? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

in reply to: Gathering Thoughts on Bully Max Dog Food Reviews #3134

Just wanted to drop my two cents on BIXBI dog food. I’ve been using it for my Golden Retriever, Lola, for about six months now and it’s been fab! Seriously, she absolutely gobbles it up which is a testament to the taste (well, at least from her perspective!).

I did some research before picking BIXBI as Lola’s new food diet – it’s grain-free and made of high-quality proteins. It wasn’t just about the hype for me. The fact that they use locally sourced ingredients, avoids artificial preservatives added sugars was a big win in my book.

But let’s get real, what mattered most is how Lola would react to it right? And boy! She hasn’t had any digestive problems since we made the switch! Her coat has become shinier than ever. Plus the vet gave her thumbs up too.

The downside? It’s a bit on the pricier side compared to other brands but you get what you pay for, quality-wise. I have seen some discounts online here and there though so worth keeping an eye out.

In a nutshell – totally recommend! Let your furry ones chow down on BIXBI if you’re after top-notch nutrition! Remember ‘Happy Dog = Happy Life’! 😊

P.S: Would love to hear other experiences with BIXBI or any other recommendations!

So, I recently watched Katherine Heigl’s review on her homemade dog food and to be honest, I’m nothing short of intrigued! Didn’t you guys find it super inspirational how focused she is on their diets? Like us, pets should also have well-rounded meals for optimal wellbeing.

She shared some fantastic recipes too, didn’t she?! I mean, Chicken Delight – that sounded just yummy …for the dogs of course. 🤣 Also, gotta admit that DIY-ing your doggie’s food ensures you’re in total control of what goes in their tummies.

Big heads-up though – if any of you decide to go down this route, do make sure to consult with your vet beforehand. Each pooch has its unique set of dietary needs n’ allergies. So it’s key to keep them in consideration. 😉

Time for me to dash for now – got a batch of Heigl-suggested sweet potato chews in the oven for my fur babies! Woof woof 🐶

Ah, Pawstruck dog food… gotta say my Beagle, Daisy just LOVES it! It was initially a switch we made for some health reasons. The vet said we needed to focus on Daisy’s nutrition more and recommended the Pawstruck line. We started her off gradually, mixing some Pawstruck into her old kibble until eventually that’s all she was eating. The improvement was incredible! More energy, shiny coat, and she seems happier overall.

The ingredients are top-notch too; you can really tell they care about nutritional balance. It has real meat as the first ingredient (Daisy goes crazy for the chicken!), no artificial colors or preservatives and I love that it’s grain free.

It might be a tad on the pricey side but believe me, the quality is worth every penny! And if I can help Daisy feel healthier and happier, who am I to put a price on that? Plus, their customer service is amazing – always super responsive and helpful.

Looking at paw print ratings from other pet parents also helped us make the decision. I’ve seen nothing but solid 4-5 star reviews which only reinforced our choice.

It’s safe to say we’re Team Pawstruck now ☺️ Who else feeds their fur baby this brand? Would love to hear your experiences!

in reply to: Debunking the “Can Dogs Eat Pork?” Myth #2067

Absolutely, dogs can eat pork, but there’s a bit of a caveat. It should be cooked thoroughly with no seasoning or sauces – plain as possible. Raw pork could carry harmful bacteria like salmonella. I mean, it’s all about moderation and preparedness, right? Same with other meats.

Also, beware of bones! They can cause choking hazard or damage to their digestive system if they splinter. Cooked bones are especially notorious for this.

As always though, every pupper is unique. Keep an eye out for any changes in your four-legged friend when introducing new food to them. If unsure, consult your vet. Just my two cents! 🐶

Just a heads up though, Nutrish does cost a little more than your average kibble. TOTALLY worth it though if you ask me… I mean let’s be real, aren’t our fur babies worth all the love (and occasional splurging) we can muster? 😉 Would give it 5/5 paws any day!

Honestly, WAG Dog Food was a game changer for my ever-hungry golden retriever, Benji. I swapped over from his usual kibble to try WAG out and the difference is astounding. He seems to have more energy throughout the day, his coat has become shinier than ever, and what’s best? Benji’s picky tummy adores it! No side issues or allergies noted so far.

The quality of the ingredients truly lives up to the claims – real meat being the first ingredient, grain-free and no artificial preservatives. I mean come on, your pup’s health is surely worth this investment!

Also, the convenience of having it delivered right on my doorsteps just takes a load off regularly running to the pet store! Amazon does a pretty great job with their brand here.

So for any dog-owners sitting on the fence about trying this out – I say go for it. You will thank yourself (and so will your furry friend) 😉

    Happy feeding,
    John & Benji

in reply to: Trying Freshpet Dog Food: A Review Worth Reading? #2389

Hey there, just wanted to give my two cents on Freshpet dog food. I’ve got a couple of Goldens and they are pretty picky eaters. Tried a number of brands, dry and canned, before finally landing on Freshpet.

The first thing I noticed, was how quickly they took to it. Normally, any change in their food and they’d turn their noses up for a few days but with Freshpet it was love at first bite!

I appreciate that you can actually see the ingredients – real meats and veggies – not just a mash of brown stuff. It’s also refrigerated which makes it feel fresher than standard shelf dog foods.

On the flip side, it’s more expensive than your typical kibble so you gotta factor that into your budget. Also, remember that once opened you should use up the packet within 7 days or so – always check the pack for storage details.

From what I read, the nutritional value is solid enough too; they seem to have found a balance between quality proteins and necessary carbs. My dogs have shown noticeable improvement in their coat shininess and general energy levels since switching to Freshpet. The vet visits have decreased considerably!

Anyways, hope this helps someone weighing their options. Remember every doggo is unique so what works for my fur balls might not be an instant hit with yours, but definitely worth a shot in my experience!

So glad you brought up Natural Balance. I have a couple of dogs at home, a retriever and an adorable terrier, both on Natural Balance for about 2 years now with no complaints!

Full transparency – one of my buddies is a vet, he suggested to switch it up once we got the second pup who had some digestive issues. And boy, let me tell you… what a world of difference it’s made! Their coats are shinier than ever and energy levels through the roof.

Love that they cater to good dietary variety too. My retriever, Max, adores the sweet potato and fish formula (yeah… sounds weird but he digs in like it’s the last meal on earth 😂). The little one—Biscuit—is all about their grain-free chicken & sweet potato recipe. For me, quality ingredients check out, nutritionally balanced, doggos love it… win-win situation!

Make sure you try different flavours though! What works for my pups might not do the trick for yours. Just keep an eye on their weight as better food translates to needing less in quantity.

Good luck finding your pupper’s favorite! Cheers 🐾

It’s pricier than the previous brand I was buying, but the quality is super noticeable. The ingredient list isn’t a mile long and full of things I can’t pronounce (bonus points for that!). Plus it’s grain-free which is a nice option to have.

My vet told me that every pup is different – what works wonders for one might not for another – so grain-free may or may not be your dog’s cup of tea. But I can vouch for the quality of Solid Gold and Bella definitely seems happier (and healthier) for it.

I’d say if you can afford the slightly steeper price tag it’s totally worth giving it a shot! After all, our furry friends deserve the best, don’t they? 😁🐶👍

in reply to: My Honest CRAVE Dog Food Review for New Dog Parents #2785

I’ve noticed a significant improvement in his coat too; it’s super shiny now! The price may be a tad steeper than other brands, but ya know what? Seeing that confident wagging tail makes it worth every penny. Just remember, what works for Charley might not be the ultimate choice for all pups out there. mabye start small, see how your dog reacts to it before buying in bulk. Best of luck to you and your doggo! 🐶✌️

I’ve been using “Taste of the Wild” for my golden retriever for about a year now, and I gotta say, it’s been quite a ride. My dog, Daisy, absolutely loves it – she practically jumps out of her fur every mealtime!

I did some research before switching her diet; this brand is grain-free and promises a balanced, natural diet for our furry friends. The main ingredients are real meat like venison or salmon which is great for her protein intake. Plus, the added fruits and veggies offer a good source of vitamins too.

But here’s the kicker: although Daisy hasn’t had any stomach issues since we started Taste of the Wild (which she used to have with other brands), the cost per bag is pretty steep. It’s definitely pricier than your average supermarket brand, but in my opinion, it’s worth it considering Daisy’s improved health.

The only relatively small issue we had was that it took her some time to adjust to the new food. She had loose stools initially, but she adapted over a week or so.

In short, great food if you’re willing to fork out a bit extra! Can’t put a price on our fur babies’ health right?

Would love to hear what your experiences have been with Taste of the Wild! Always good to share notes.

in reply to: Looking for Honest Vital Essentials Dog Food Reviews #3325

I’ve been using Vital Essentials for my golden retriever for a while now and it’s been fantastic! She absolutely loves it, wolfs it down every time. It’s been great in terms of her digestion too — way fewer upsets compared to when I was feeding her some other brand. Think it has something to do with the raw food diet and natural ingredients they use.

Her coat’s a lot shinier now too and she’s got this newfound zest for life. I’d always read about the benefits of a raw diet but wasn’t sure where to start – but Vital Essentials made it so much easier!

Price point could be an issue for some, I guess, considering it’s more than your average dog kibble, but my girl definitely thinks it’s worth her happy dance! Definitely will continue to invest in her health and happiness with VE.

That said, do remember that every pup/dog is unique. What works wonders for my girl might not be the best fit for yours. Always worth trying though!
